Another good reprot in deed.
Had hoped Chris would lose slightly less. I bet the AI makes Taciak GC rider for the mountains now eliminating any chance of a good result...

At least Khatuntsev is in the GC top-10. No way he'll hold on, but at least it looks good
Hopefully Bakhin in the break, which hopefully holds on...

Race well poised after that comprehensive report.
Nicácio up to 3rd after the TT is a great sign he is in good form. GC definitely within reach for us. Hoping for a similar ride from him to what Martinez pulled off in Slovenia on the final stage.
We have the time gap now attack/follow/attack in the mountains. |

And suddenly I wish that the final stage would be much easier
Another great stage for my team. Some brilliant racing until now but now it is the time to let other teams shine. I am thankful for this race and I hope this will continue equally good in the next races.

Ouch, nipped by a second or two there for the stage win.
Now the crucial stage, it seems like so many contenders are grouped up that this could be anyone's for the taking, hopefully we can at least hold down a top 5.

I was in the middle of writing the report for stage 5 when I accidentally deleted everything I had. Needless to say I'm not really in the mood to rewrite it today.
Stage 5 will be posted on Monday.

That was a great ride from Chamorro to get the KoM jersey and finish on 5th place in the stage! Got about as much as we could have expected from this race I suppose, especially given the ITT meaning Orozco and Zurita were unlikely to finish high overall.
Also, great report Mre, I find it's usually very hard to produce a good report the second time round when rewriting, but this was a thrilling read!

I would lie when I said I didn't expected the last stage to eliminate all our GC hopes. Having a pure sprinter squad fires back on such a stage but we can look back at an awesome stage race for us. LNH really delivered which is a nice outlook for the future.
I'm not sure how many points this brought us but it surely was a nice amount considering that the GC was always unreachable for us. Nice to see that LNH could stay on #2 in the points classification.

Hoped for more in that last stage but I was pleased to see both Woods and Richardson attack, although it was to little effect.
15th and 20th overall isnt too good but Stannard delivered a stage win for us to get over Rowe's failings

That was a very disappointing result after the race began so good.
THanks for the reports though, mre. |

Nothing spectacular from the team, but at the end of the day it is another race with a good solid points haul. Some good highlights to take away for the team. |

Yes, yes, yes!
FINALLY Arroyo gets a win and when he first does so he gets the GC-aswell!
Literally a perfect stage from the guys having Esquivel in the break and when he got caught bringing all the minor GC-attacks back. When Arroyo first got away he was a tad lucky that none of the GC-contenters reacted(or just not good enough?) and then Castano topping it all of by getting a top five on the stage including following Iglinsky and ending in a brilliant 3rd spot in GC! So happy i sent Castano and not Kulhavi to this race as it seems national bonus definatly has a little effect at least.

Ah, solid race all around for us, I asked for at least a top 5, and it was accomplished. The mountain stage produced really interesting time gaps, but we didn't suffer too much in the end. Arroyo too OP though

Nice reporting from MrE.
Good to see Arroyo deliver on his No. 1 status given he has been pretty quiet for a lot of the season considering his pay packet. Big points haul for ONCE towards the promotion battle. A strong run of results in the second half of the summer for dev4ever's (old and wrinkly!) boys, congrats. Euskatel and Bonsucro also look to have scored quite decently packing multiple riders across the top 20 GC between them. Reckon is going to go right down to the wire!
FDinal comment. When I originally read the preview I was a bit surprised not to see any Nutresa riders mentioned in any category, then again we weren't entered in the race; Doh! .

Another disappointing race from CAS, but a great finish from the Poles especially. Really impressed by them here!
Renängs 4th in the TT was actually rather good as he usually sucks pretty bad in anything but opening TT's.
And amazing to see Gökhan Hasta take the youth jersey. Weak youth-peloton or not I don't care - a win is a win

I am happy that Taciak and Dabrowski did well for you, as i am always happy to see transfed out riders from my team to be useful in their new homes.
Congrats to ONCE, Arroyo finally living up to his reputation and salary...

Thanks. After a generally very disappointing season it's nice that they are starting to try harder. Taciak have had some good TT's in the season and Dabrowski have been one of our most attacking riders in the finales - with limitied success but still...
