Oh and on this. Don't be worried trust is good, control is better. I control people's fair play. It's basically impossible to cheat.
Certain dictators of certain other story games could always give a hard time in that certain other game to those that steal his riders in this one. Hypothetically.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I remember when i did stealing first in the UCPCL and everyone "loved" the idea. Did make a lot more sense there than here though.

Silvio - If you wanted to ride a moral high horse, you should have thought a bit longer about your team choice! (Gazprom is one of standout immoral companies of the world which makes your arguments pretty damn funny thanks to the contrast.)

Looking forward to the transfers, was hoping to do some trading with others but I don't know if that will happen with so many free riders. Nice to see we got enough people anyhow. |

I'm not going to risk making myself the most-hated before any of the real action starts I guess. Fairly unrealistic for a CT team to steal riders from mostly WT teams anyway.
Btw these spreadsheets are insanely good, well done

knockout - Way back when this started I remember you doing a big preview on all the teams with your predictions. Any chance you will be reviewing what you predicted and/or doing another one for the coming season? |

Hi everyone,
Well done to BikeX for getting through the first season (looks like EPIC is getting there too which is great). Been lurking around her for some time, the speed of this really appeals just finding the time to do even the small amount we have to do on this is hard for me.
But nethertheless here I am and quite excited about joining in the fun.
The steals thing is interesting and very similar to something SN put in the mangame last year whereby teams could declare their interest for a rider and this inflated the wage. He didn't this year because it proved negligable and time consuming I think. I can see how some might find it somewhat invading of their riders, for new players it's a nice thing to allow us perhaps to bid for a few contracted riders.
I will be open, I've sent in my steals for some riders, will be surprised if I get any of them. If I do excellent
I notice the subject of deadlines - though I guess with this as not all need to be returned there is no problems.

As the deadline is long gone now, I hope BikeX will accept no more steals as well as you won't count any sent in after 12-11-2014, 22:28.
(Nothing against people not making things before deadlines, but you probably understand my intention.)
Oh, and, maybe you should also think about not countin everything sent in before that time as well

ICL15 - Transfers - Renewals
The file: https://www.mediafire.com/?ldu7q2808i...2808iwshjj
This is how the renewals work: A rider demands a certain wage of you. You can then decide whether you want to accept that wage and re-sign him for the next season, don't prolong his contract or wait. You have three chances to make an offer before the negotiations end.
How does the file work:
1 Put in C3 your team ID. If you forgot it, check it in table "teams".
2 In "Renewals" you see your riders listed. The first thing you want to do is to fade out the empty rows. To do so Click on the arrow in K1 and untick empty cells.
3 In column H the riders current wage is listed in row I the minimum wage that has to be paid. In column K you see the demand of the rider. In the cell on the left of that you usually see a 0. There are three possible exceptions. If there is a "!!!" then you have to agree to the riders demand in your first offer as he is in a danger of a steal. If you don't agree then your rider will leave for another team. Is there only one exclamation mark then also a team is interested in a steal but the offer of that team is so bad that the rider doesn't consider it. If that's the case you can do the negotiations as usual. If there is "IN" written then that rider is already on your team next season as you contracted him through scouting.
4 In N you make your first offers. If you agree to the wage the rider wants just write it there. If you want to make an offer with a lower wage than put in there how much you offer instead. If you want the rider to leave the team put a 0. If you want to wait with negotiations to a later round put a W in there.
5 In row 42 you see how much budget you'd have left with your offers. It is allowed to be over your budget after the renewals but you'd have to pay a fine that is as high as you're over your budget.
6 If you made your offers go to "PM" copy for round 1 cells B-C and send them to me in a table. In round 2 you will send me F-G and in round 3 J-K.
7 After sending me a pm you will get an answer from me asap with the riders reactions. Go to "Renewals" sort the riders after their ID and put the list you get into row R for round 1, for round 2 that'd be row S and for round 3 row T. If a rider is out the list will tell you "OUT", if the rider agrees to your offer it will say "IN". If you didn't reach the min wage he'd accept you will either get 1,2 or 3 +. If it's only one the lowest wage he'd accept is within 50. If there are 2 then it is between 50 and 100 and with three + it is more than 100 away.
8 If you get +s back then you can continue negotiations in column O (round 2) and column P (round 3). If you get back an "IN" or "OUT" than you can't continue negotiations as you already came to an agreement with the rider.
9 If you didn't come to an agreement with the rider after 3 rounds then he'll leave the team.
I hope everyone understands how it works.
I will be away next week so this round will probably last until the next weekend. I want every team that was already there in season 1 to complete this task so there won't be a definite deadline yet. |

Well that was straight forward. Really easy to do guys and takes no time at all! Also, f*ck [unnamed rider] and his ridiculous demands, cocky [nationality] prick.

Of course you don't have to do it. You have no riders to renew. |

I presume the wanted wage will be higher if a rider was "nominated" for stealing, is that correct?

Yes you are right, how much higher depends on how high the steal offer was. And in that case you have to accept that demand right in the first round if you want to keep the rider. |

Just to be sure: we will not loose our riders in the first two rounds because the offer was way too low (except he is stolen), right?
