I highly doubt that. It's different to ride from the breakaway to victory than trying to keep up with the Tour's best.

C'mon, Majka just needs to follow Nibali? Because it's so easy to follow Nibali and it worked so great for the rest of the peloton so far.

Not saying he will do the same this stage, but it's not as unbelievable as you make it out to be.

On the stages has has won, he hasnt had much at the bottom of the climbs, especially at Risoul (less than a minute, if I recall correctly) The stage to Chamrousse he went away from the favourites and was along with König the second best.
I dont expect him to win, but he if isnt one of the five best riders from the peloton, I would be super surprised |

so with this massive break up the road (and presumably gobbling up all the points on the Tourmalet climb)
then IF Nibali wins the stage, can Majka finish in the top 6 to win the KOM comp? (can't see Nibali going all out for it on the 2 available points left)

I think you are forgetting that Majka twice have kept Nibali behind him.
Anyways Nibali hasn´t been tested at all, so that the riders left just isn't better doesn't mean Majka wont be able to do it. |

RodMeister is losing ground, looks to be finished but it is Rodriguez. So it aint over until the Fat man has rode his last bike.

It was more about the hyping and overestimating of Majka. I don't think it's unbelieveable and I have seen stranger things happen in cycling, but I don't think he's capable of outclimbing the Tour's best when they actually pay attention to what he's doing.
To be fair, Chamrousse stage was him going early on the climb, following König throughout the entire climb and then he got beat by Nibali like anyone else. Admittely, I did forget that performance though, and I guess he was yesterday stronger than in Chamrousse.

I most certainly did not forget that, and I also know that both stages were won by him being in the breakaway.

Venga Nieve! Still waiting for that Basque victory, and who knows how well he could have done in the General Classification if he didn't sacrifice himself to help Porte on his first horror day.

Not want to sound arrogant or anything similar, but that happened to me like 10 times already. It's actually a popular thing over here (to send them questions via email and twitter and they answer on TV, while the broadcasting is on) and it seems like I always am the one with most interesting questions.
After all, I won 2 jerseys for being the first one to guess a stage winner (shitload of guys are competing and it's pretty challenging to be the first one). Yet, I still suck at cycling betting, on both PCMdaily and in real life.

I had that happen with British eurosport in the 2011 Vuelta (about how Sky's botched TTT potentially cost Wiggins/Froome the win)
for Sky, Porte generally seems to have an off day in GTs (remember 2013 stage 9?, and this year being 2 prime examples) but it's a little more concerning/pleasing to see a certain track-convert currently in 22nd |

You are correct, but its not about outdoing or beating Nibali, Nibali has no interest in going all out, all he wants is the stage win. So i wont be surprised at all if Majka finishes close to Nibali. |
