My guess is Ulanowski tried to lead out Vaitkus, leaving Greipel to ride for his own chances? Happened a lot in the test races I did...
And Maksimov... Why on earth do you sprint better now!?

Incredible sprinter fest in Australia. Super packed in PCT. I expect a lot of great sprints there. |

Kupfernagel winning really doesnt make any sense. Not one of the best sprinters, and didn't have the best leadout train. Nice to meet you PCM13. Still, at least it means we shouldn't expect a predictable season of racing, which should be good fun.
10th is a great effort for Bennett, managed to pick the right train and hold on from there.
And here are the rankings. Karcher-Adira are the first leaders, and will hope to do better than Team WWE who were in their place last year, but ended 2nd from bottom!
1 | | Karcher-Adira Racing | 229 | 2 | | Meiji - Cannondale | 196 | 3 | | Oz Cycling Project | 110 | 4 | | Team Puma - SAP | 103 | 5 | | Privatbank - Nemiroff | 100 | 6 | | Project: Africa | 98 | 7 | | Mobil - Aeropostal Ciclismo | 85 | 8 | | Heineken-Cal Giant | 74 | 9 | | BelarusBank Pro Cycling | 66 | 10 | | Magna - Ryanair | 51 | 11 | | Jaguar - Eritel | 45 | 12 | | Gazelle | 41 | 13 | | RBC Pro Cycling | 32 | 14 | | Metinvest-Emirates | 30 | 15 | | Team Hornbach | 30 | 16 | | Allianz-BMW Cycling Team | 24 | 17 | | Repsol-Cativen | 22 | 18 | | Swedbank - PEAB | 20 | 19 | | La Vie Claire | 12 | 20 | | Kazzinc Procycling | 10 | 21 | | Boeing-Bulgaria Bicycling | 0 | 22 | | Compal-Merida | 0 | 23 | | Kappa-ENI | 0 | 24 | | Team Kenya Airways | 0 |

Nice report cunego59, just one note, maybe more overhead shots in sprint finale would be better,as it is hard to orientate in these close shots.
Hoffman He started like that also last year, i am not sure if he even wasnt exactly 34th like this year. At least we got Zmorka in the break and 30points, could be worse.
That sprint was strange indeed, pretty chaotic and subpar sprinter winning, but congrats to Adira!

Tense finish. Good job by Adira, congrats!
41 points from a completely flat race; can't be unhappy with that.
But why on earth was my team doing the chasing?!? Attack, you morons! Wish PCM allowed us to set an offensiveness attribute for teams.

No riders in the top 60.
Has to be some sort of record.

No top 90 for me...
Surprised we didn't attack, disappointing start. Surprised at how well Kupfernagel and Maksimov did there in the end. |

I´m missing something here, how did I get 20 pts here?
My best rider came in 31 even that would not get any pts or did it?
I may miss something obviuos, a bit tired after a week of hard work |

Drujon what on earth were you doing attacking in a 75km flat classic
Belletti finishing 15th in this field is just hilarious - he might have been like the 40th or 50th best sprinter in the race...and I don't even think I see him in the race pictures, but he pops up in 15th! Amazing. Speirs 26th is also a thumbs up for me.
It is amusing to see my old CT sprinters beating my new acquisition, but a pretty good race for us considering we were 10th in points and we are not exactly a sprinting team.
Kupfernagel would not have been many peoples pick for victory, but he gets it done today - A nice day out for Karcher!

Cav picked Goss' wheel, looked good for a long time, 8th not too bad.
And 9th overall, probably highest we will be all season, but where was Hutarovich for Cav.
Good win and nice tense report

I once finished a hilly race with my best rider something ridiculous like 126th. It was definately into triple figures.

Aha, it would appear that I have used the HC Stage race points scale. I've not got the rankings file I usually have set up yet, so this was done a little bit too quickly it seems.
Correct standings:
1 | | Karcher-Adira Racing | 172 | 2 | | Meiji - Cannondale | 136 | 3 | | Team Puma - SAP | 82 | 4 | | Project: Africa | 70 | 5 | | Oz Cycling Project | 63 | 6 | | Mobil - Aeropostal Ciclismo | 61 | 7 | | Privatbank - Nemiroff | 58 | 8 | | BelarusBank Pro Cycling | 38 | 9 | | Heineken-Cal Giant | 30 | 10 | | Jaguar - Eritel | 26 | 11 | | Magna - Ryanair | 16 | 12 | | RBC Pro Cycling | 15 | 13 | | Gazelle | 11 | 14 | | Team Hornbach | 10 | 15 | | Allianz-BMW Cycling Team | 10 | 16 | | Repsol-Cativen | 9 | 17 | | La Vie Claire | 5 | 18 | | Metinvest-Emirates | 0 | 19 | | Swedbank - PEAB | 0 | 20 | | Kazzinc Procycling | 0 | 21 | | Boeing-Bulgaria Bicycling | 0 | 22 | | Compal-Merida | 0 | 23 | | Kappa-ENI | 0 | 24 | | Team Kenya Airways | 0 |

And now to grab a stage or two at the TDU, please

WOW
What a way to start the season... I think even in my dreams, I put the possibility of victory in this race.
Some results turn out to be surprising, my team could not have been better Kupfernagel better was impossible, Davis 11th is within what I expected and Silvestre 16th another pleasant surprise...
thanks for the great report Cunego

Less points than Repsol in a flat race
To those of you who know PCM 13 well, do sprinters attack often? |
