If you are not following Michelle Cound on twitter (Froomes SO) i would thoroughly recommend it. She kind of went mental yesterday and it's well worth flicking through if you have a momment

My spiders sences are tingling...
Michelle, in the (not far away) future will screw over Froome and accidentally reveal of what's happening at Sky.
God, she is... a total a-hole. |

Had a good laugh at that. Liked 'Come on Daryl!' where she cheers on Impey (at RVV), and some guy goes 'Not shouting for Brad?'

What a b*tch, this one was also funny:
While Contador being an exdoper is true, she should look next to her at some morning when she gets up. But i doubt Froome sleeps in bed anyway, rather a coffin or space shuttle

Reading some of that stuff has brightened my afternoon up for sure. It's bad of me, but I lost it at the bit where she randomly retweets something about trying to assist people suffering from head trauma.

EBH will ride Giro.
Last chance to prove himself, he'll have a free role. Can go into break any day he wants basically. If he fails to deliver here, it's time up for EBH at Sky.

Bit unfair on a 2x TDF stage winner, 4x NC and WC medalist... in most teams his results would be pretty damn satisfactory!

EBH has been shit in every big classic though.. The worst thing about him is that he never sprints at the end if he can't take the win(take RvV from last year for instance). Worlds best paid domestique, and he hasn't really been that good as a domestique..

That was some time ago. Last year was close to a disaster. This year doesn't look much better.
He's Sky 3rd biggest earner in the team
As I said with Wiggins ( who is either 1st or 2nd, hard to say, but I'd say 1st ) and EBH, plus JTL that is massive amounts freed up, I do wonder who Braislford is looking to bring in. For sure there is at least one very big name coming.
Anyhow, for what EBH is getting - he should be winning quite a few races plus doing well in classics. He's not hence he's failing to deliver. Badly.

Well where will he go? Quickstep have money, but more likely to see BMC sniffing around i'd guess. If he's on that sort of wage now he'll expect something above most teams realities.

EBH is my favourite rider by quite a long way, but he's hard done by at Sky. He should have been at Sagan level by now- as much as it pains me to say it, he should have stayed at HTC and then moved on to Quickstep as soon as it went down the drain. But Brailsford didn't give him a choice to be fair.
Disclaimer- Most of my posts are me thinking aloud. And most of what I think is rubbish.

But he doesn't have the results to back that wage up at all - meaning quite simply a wage cut.. Both for Sky and himself, they should part ways this season.

I think part of that can be traced back to Sky, they shouldn't used him as a water bitch for Froome in the Tour for two consequtive years.
If he'd been given a full leadership role and programme in the same way as let's say Greg Van Avermaet or Peter Sagan, I think he could have been up there with them, or at least nearby.

Well there is no way EBH will ever perform consistently in classics..ever. His issue with having stomach problems after certain km's is still there I believe. Plus he lacks the engine anyway for the hardest races.
He could have gotten maybe a stage win or so in past Tour from breaks, yes.

He could go to Garmin. Also, what if he went to Cannondale as a replacement for Sagan, if Sagan does end up leaving? Just throwing names out.

It is a shame he hasn't performed like people expected of him 2/3 years ago. Obviously not being used to his strengths on a decent programme that suits him doesn't help. In the Vuelta he might of taken 2 stage wins but oh well. He'll probably end up in Alonso's team, I'll be rooting for him away. |
