Too bad Germany couldn't do more at their home world championships, but well deserved win for the dutchies.

Gutted, but oh well, no gold again for Spain barring a massive upset.
Next year the course needs to be even more hilly ;D

Must say i never heard of that Russian guy, but it was a really exciting battle between him and Durbridge, only three seconds.

6 12 13 is okay, but I would've preferred 3 40 42
Obviously the one xp level less than projected costs Sütterlin a medal here, but he already has one and this is not about PT points anyway.

Gotta say that win by Yatsevich surprised me, but i guess it shows his potential. (Although his secondary stats won't be that great when he's maxed.)
Also, nice & thrilling report.

First of all, very nice previews!
Slightly surprising to see Netherlands beat Spain. That was certainly a very nice win to defend their crown.
For the U23 riders, I must admit I hoped for Viennet, as he was on loan last season, but Yatsevich and Durbridge proved too good for the rest. Congratulations to Kami!
Thanks for the reports, the tension was there through both races. |

Many thanks Roturn for the report on what proved to be a really exciting race (well I had a real interest in Durbridge!).
I checked the database and it is a bit of a surprise result that - I was also surprised to see that whilst yatsevich was a product of the Tinkoff system he had actually moved to Bacardi. It makes it a 1-2-3 for the Protour

I bought him, but loaned him out to Tinkoff last season . He got enough xp to ride in the PT this year.

Medal for Jungels! He won't end up much more than a very useful TTT support rider I dont think, as well as multiple times Luxembourg TT champion when he maxed out, so a medal at the U23 Worlds is great. Good record for Vesuvio here after Kittel took Gold a couple of years ago.
Thanks for the report.

U23 European TT Champion in 2010 is why he ended up with decent TT stats. I dont aspire to make additions to the ManGame DB completely realistic, but usually there is at least something to justify a certain specialisation

Oh so close It feels kinda a loss to finish second against a surprising winner, so close. Of course it's still a nice achievement, but no golden boy Durbridge is.

Understandable, and it'd be quite boring if the riders would be the same as in irl.
So does that mean Mullen might end up like him too, juding by his result in this years U-23 worlds?

Well, that sucked. Not that I knew before-hand that Viennet was a contender for gold, but now that you made him up to be so, I expected more. You owe me a medal, roturn |

Too bad Vlatos is a bit too old. I forgot he was, and he would have been a decent medalbet.
I hope Lecuisinier can grab a podium next year. He should be able to get in the mix.

I'm happy that Cornu managed a mid top 10 there, as that wis what I think he should be capable of.
Like I said at the end there, I really feel that this is an interesting result. Finally all of the older time trialists are moving aside and now the next generation can come through and take over. As Rogers and Cancellara get worse with age from now on, I think we will get more and more new names and surprises like Gesink in these races.

What a win for the Americans in the ITT. Phinney winning it with Coppel finishing 3rd and Gesink outside of the podium in 4th.
Congrats Taylor!!
