Your screens are so beautiful!
Also, great win in Italy, fine tactics, hope to see this good form continue in the future. |

On which difficulty are you playing? It seems far too easy
There's no way Kopecky would have sprint over 68 or so. He is just 18 and never had any excellent result in this way. I also like we agree on Vakoc since he used to be my best friend So keep going, you're doing good in races so far |

@ Admir - Yeah, he did well Thank you!
@ Fernando - Thanks very much! I spend time gettng the perfect angles, and editing effects It was also a lot of luck I think. I could tell he was going to get away if I made a move, but the bunch were slow to react. I doubt this form will continue though
@ Valor - I play on Hard. I think it gives the best realism as well as still giving myself a chance with a team like this. Good to know about Kopecky. I trusted the stat makers must have known something I didn't so I didn't lower him that much, but obviously it wasn't enough He's got no potential though, so he wont improve much anyway. Cool to know Vakoc is your friend. I dont think I know anyone in the db

I alway play on extreme because otherwise I feel like: What? I got THIS win on THIS race with THIS rider? And I really enjoy then racing with crap teams because if you then get a win, you feel really happy. But it depends on what suits you. I'm okay with 10-12 victories for a season (custom average protour team whose biggest stars are in 2016 Nicolas Roche, Ian Stannard and Andrew fen).
And to personal connections: I know kinda' good Petr Vakoc, his brother Michal who is also looking to be a pro, Frantisek Padour, Jakub Novak, who is now stagiare at BMC and some other guys mostly from Dukla Praha. Anyway, they decided to race their bikes, I decided to study law. But the whole thing would be longer story and I don't want to bother YOUR story with mine. So just go on, if you want a signed jersey from Tomas Okrouhlicky or something, I'm here |

@ Sutty - Thank you! Its nice to get a win in early like this
@ Valor - Yeah, you are right. I wasn't expecting to get results like this already. We'll have to see if they continue or not
You have quite a bit of connections Hmm signed jersey... That's really generous, although I'd need a bike first Plus I think it costs a lot to ship things to Canada. Thanks for the offer though. Maybe I will in the future who knows

My last post for today, so I'm hopefully going to stop spamming on your story thread.
The jersey you are using is outdated. It's 2013 out there, check this:
This:
Or this:
And get the correct jersey made.
About that signed jersey, I was rather joking, but if you were really interested, I should be able to get it. But as you said, I expect shipping cost to Canada to be quite high (and we Czechs are poor ones, living in state of hunger and desolation ) |

Great screens and a great victory! Great work!
And in my first post I was referencing the Drake song "Started from the Bottom" which I thought you might have referenced in the title Clearly not. |

Yeah I noticed the jersey was outdated too I made a request in the 2013 Jersey thread already I like the newer version a lot better too, but I dont want to wait to play just because of the jersey Hopefully someone decides to make it soon though
Kosice - Miskolc 1.2
March 23rd, 2013
Startlist
We have the final race of the first quarter of the season for us, and we want to do well here. A lot of our rivals are here like Etixx and we want to show them that we are just as good as they are. They've brought a very strong team, with Vakoc probably being the strongest but if the hills dont destroy the sprinters they have Senechal and Hoelgaard as well! We've left Hunal out of the team, so he can stay focused on getting form for later in the year. We still have a pretty strong squad though!
Just like our last race, we put a rider in the breakaway, this time it was Dolezal! We forgot to send our cameraman to the race today, so we had to steal some images from the cameraman on the back of the moto.
The breakaway held a lead of 7 odd minutes for the majority of the stage, spending almost 160km in the lead out of a total of 219km. As we got close to the finish they were caught leaving the finish up to the sprinters, or those that were left in the lead group.
The short but steep hills which were rode on multiple occasions as part of the racing course today left its toll on the sprinters. Many cracked and formed an autobus, but thankfully Krotky was still in the front but suffering big time! We formed a little train for the sprint thanks to Okrouhlicky especially but Marcin Sapa grabbed a nice lead heading into the final km. Krotky pushed for the line and looked like he had the pace to get past Sapa on the right, but Vakoc of Etixx was coming on the left with even more speed!
And in the end its heartbreak for Krotky as Vakoc just barely hits the line before his fellow countryman. It was no doubt a strong showing from both, but one has to wonder if either would have been in contention if not for the blistering pace the peloton rode the hills before the finish.

Thanks a lot!
I was actually referencing the song, but Im not familiar with all the lyrics. I definitely remember that line now. (And only because I find it funny, and couldn't think of anything else besides the typical "This is Sparta" stuff for a title )
Is it time to change the title to "Now we here" yet?

I don't even really like the song (or Drake for that matter but that's a whole different discussion) but I remembered those lyrics as they kinda blew up on the internet when it came out. I'd save "Now we here" until you reach the PT which could take a while.
btw, great ride, Krotky did well to hold on for second, it looks like he had absolutely nothing left by the end there. |

@ Teddy - I dont know if anyone actually likes the song I'll remember to do that though Thanks
@ Sutty - Thank you, it was a good ride for sure!
@ NTT - Thanks. Its definitely more hectic in CT than World Tour. Theres more variety to though, which I like.
Season so far: January - March
Major Results
Date | Race | Winner | 21/01 - 27/01 | Tour de San Luis | Messineo | 22/01 - 27/01 | Tour Down Under | Pichon | 03/02 - 08/02 | Tour of Qatar | Gallopin | 11/02 - 16/02 | Tour of Oman | Hesjedal | 23/02 | Omloop Het Nieuwsblad | Boonen | 24/02 | Kuurne - Brussel - Kuurne | Cancellara | 02/03 | Strade Bianchi | Thomas | 03/03 - 10/03 | Paris - Nice | T. Martin | 06/02 - 12/03 | Tirreno - Adriatico | Froome | 17/03 | Milan San Remo | Kristoff | 22/03 | E3 Prijs Vlaanderen | Cancellara | 18/03 - 24/03 | Volta a Catalunya | Rodriguez | 24/03 | Gent - Wevelgem | Leukemans | 31/03 | Ronde van Vlaanderen | Boonen |
It was a great start to the season for Tom Boonen in particular who extended his own record as the 4 time winner of the Ronde van Vlaanderen! He started off the classics season in strong form as well winning Omloop.
UCI World Tour Individual
1 | Fabian Cancellara | Radioshack | 216 | 2 | Chris Froome | Team Sky | 200 | 3 | Alexander Kristoff | Katusha Team | 198 | 4 | Tom Boonen | OmegaPharma - Quickstep | 175 | 5 | Juan Antonio Flecha | Vacansoleil | 160 |
Obviously consistency is what gets you the points here! Cancellara did well podiuming in most classics he entered, enough for the top spot. On the contrary, Kristoff is here on pretty much one result after winning Milan San Remo! Flecha is the surprise of the bunch but with a 4th at RvV, 3rd and E3, 3rd and GW and 4th and OHN he has been even more consistent than Cancellara.
UCI World Tour Teams
1 | OmegaPharma - Quickstep | 574 | 2 | Sky ProCycling | 427 | 3 | Katusha | 416 | 4 | Vacansoleil | 294 | 5 | Radioshack | 288 |
As we can see here, OPQS had the strongest classics season overall, and good starts in the PT stage races as well giving them a commanding lead. It wasn't only Boonen and Cav with points, but Kwiatkowski as well.
Continental Individual
1 | Roy Sentjens | De Rijke | 287 | 2 | Riccardo Chiarini | Androni | 246 | 3 | Stefan Schumacher | Christina Watches | 235 | 4 | Sergio Pardilla | MTN - Qhubeka | 205 | 5 | Leopold Konig | Team NetApp - Endura | 198 | 94 | Martin Hunal | AC Sparta Praha | 40 |
Its a great month for De Rijke who saw a great performance from Sentjens. Konig will only heat up though, with more terrain suitable to him still to come.
Continental Teams
1 | MTN - Qhubeka | 657 | 2 | NetApp - Endura | 529 | 3 | De Rijke | 463 | 4 | Europcar | 429 | 5 | Androni | 424 | 46 | AC Sparta Praha | 40 |
NetApp sit in a great spot with most of their schedule still to go, while MTN can be happy with the spot they are in.
CQ Ranking Individual
1 | Fabian Cancellara | Radioshack | 831 | 2 | Ramon Sinkeldam | Argos Shimano | 799 | 3 | Tom Boonen | Omega Pharma | 702 | 4 | Chris Froome | Team Sky | 647 | 5 | Alexander Kristoff | Katusha Team | 625 | 514 | Martin Hunal | AC Sparta Praha | 15 |

Indeed few races to start the season, but you've done great on them
Simulation gives some weeeird stuff: Messioneo winning San Luis was a surprise (what's his MO?), but Sinkeldam 2nd on CQ with 10 wins, wtf!

What a heart-breaking second place in Miskolc, maybe next time you'll get your 2nd win.

I told you the stats weren't 100% (Though Sinkeldam probably won a lot of Langkawi stages or so )
Team is getting great results Valv, nice work

No!!!
You were so close to winning that GP Miskolc. When your riders don't have that many race days, it's a real heart break for them. But next time I'm sure they'll perform. After that 2nd place finish, they must have gotten some anger. |
