A bit surprised by the poor performance by Roelandts here...
Not that much by Cavendish as his team seems to work against him. |

What a shit stage...Stupid AI sometimes even though the wind might be an explanation.
I was pretty happy that my team didn`t try to make a train in the wind and as Vantomme was smartly placed I had some hopes.
But why not starting the sprint, when the sprint is started by others???
A bit more was possible here I guess.
So I can only hope that tomorrow will be another podium to get some bonus seconds...good that Cavendish only went for the intermediates... |

This race is getting worse with every stage... Didn't expect much, but not even finish within Top-20 in a stage..

Yes good point, I would have expected Roelandts to be mixing it up, says a lot about the sprint competition here.
What a great struggle of the sprinters this is proving to be and Prio-Porto got an awkward windy sprint spot on here.
These sprinters went for bonkers wages this year (after Vantomme's bonkers wage last year), I am pleased for them they get their million dollar showdown. Lo Cicero of all people leads, but you just have that feeling the lead will change again in the last stage.
Interesting that only Cav and some sub prime sprinters went for the intermediates - some smartness from the AI (don't know how Cav had enough for 4th at the finish though!)

I don't know, but I'll take it! Would like to see him doing better in the actual final sprints, but nabbing all those bonuses was nice. Would have preferred the stage win, which, given the lead out, could have been more possible had the team not gone for the intermediates.

Interesting to see that some of the breakaway riders, in particular Alafaci, are set to steal some big ranking points - very fortunate for their teams.
Good too to see completely different sprint trains on Stage 3 than Stage 2. Now, can Lo Cicero pull off a HC race win for Armavia?
Great return to reporting ember!

I still hope we can win this, but we need to leadout Napolitano and win the final stage to make sure of GC and Points. I'd take second though, if it means Armavia winning |

Great speeds for the report ember! Thanks for that.
Now if only Drujon would realise that he is leading the team here...

Good that my riders are getting into breaks, could just about get a top 10 if lucky due to bonus seconds from intermediate sprints.

Well whatever happens with Lo Cicero now, his season has had a massive success. He does seem to do better in high class sprinting fields.
Some desperate bad luck and good luck for some managers here.
Rothaus once again had a strong race - looks like German beer will be popular in the protour next year (Not so Belgian Post perhaps!)

Drapac So it was quite good to have him in those breakaways taking the bonus-seconds. Finishin 7th in GC is definitely saving our race here, where we didn't even manage to score a single Top-20 in the stages! So a quite random Top-10 in the end, but hey, I'll take it, especially as other bottom-teams continue to score pretty high.

Ugh, way to screw up. If we could be bothered to leadout Napo, then what might have been. I'm pretty sure we are down now, as there are no more great chances for Napolitano left. Great reports though, and happy to see two of my favourite teams 1-2, Congrats Bjartne and ANF
Oh, one goal passed though |

Wow, just came home from work to read the last two reports!
I didn't see this one coming
Really really happy right now, we needed a massive point haul soon, and Ivano delivered here. Now some of the gap to the other bottom team have been reduced, but still very much work to do if we are to survive. Hopefully this was the start of something bigger for Lo Cicero. Could he pull of a Napolitano-returnfromthedeath-thing?
I certainly hope so! |

Jesus christ, I must be near the top in some kind of ranking over which team has had the most crashes/punctures this year! Thire has done well, and so has Kip, though this race was never going to be anything special for us.
Congrats to Bjarne, nice to see Armavia score some good points

What have I done to Jurgen Roelandts that's made him perform so terribly?

Whoa what a day. Joy and disappointment here in the team bus. While it's great to have won stage 3, it is heartbreaking to see all the team's work being ruined with that crash. To be fair it's our first important fall, but now we're sure to take a big tumble this month.
Anyway congratulations bjartne. You've got a hard task ahwad of you but this could be the kickstart for an unexpected recovery.
Thanks for the juicy reports ember, those were great to read
