Assan couldn't had come any nearer than that to his first win of the season, but it's nice to see that one of my sprinters are finally delivering. If Kip decides to come up with yet another lackluster performance on stage 5, then I hope he'll at least help Assan in the sprint.
Oh and congratulations to Haussler, he has always been strong on these type of stages!

I'm really enjoying watching Schelling in these races. He's been riding really aggressively, and I love it.

Too bad we couldn't make it three in a row, but more bonus seconds are pretty nice. Too bad Haussler is so close on every jersey, we might easily lose the yellow and green. But not complaining about how this is playing out.

So funny to see that the game realizes that Cucinotta might not be strong enough after the hills but then decides to sprint with Velits instead of Geschke...
Horrible race so far, even though Velits is somehow saving it a bit...
Definitely need more sprinter planning next season for the likes of Bellis/Geschke to avoid these problems. |

Let's get some entertainment in this race soon, shall we?
Sinkewitz really wants to prove that he deserves a new contract. |

I have a feeling that Haussler is going to pull a Hoffman. |

Haussler needed two stages (plus the prologue) to warm up and now he's on fire.
I wonder if he'll be able to hang on on stage 6 or if Gerdemann will be the one who gets a decent GC-place.

Gajek to fail once again had great position and ends up being beaten by Roche how is this possible ... At least Irvine not being sprinter has been very good and eventually get another top10.

Wow, another second place but also just missing out 3 guys in top 10. Roche is really looking good for this race, I hope he delivers when it matters on that final stage. Yet another nice report by you pelli, keep the good work up

Crazy how far you can drop when having the perfect position, Mr Cucinotta...
Next year he will be free agent I guess.
Not that I had high expectations, but he is also destroying all chances for Geschke.

Great teamwork again, Rowe failing to deliver again.
Highlight of this race so far was seeing how cool Van Wyk's Namibian NC looks
Looked like Kono was helping with the lead out, too - hopefully doesn't mean he's tired for the decisive stage. Would be typical to get nothing from this race, though.

Exactly what shouldn't have happened, but in the end Gavazzi is there for the tougher terrain. Too bad we lost every jersey.

Hansen with his third breakaway in a row! He´s doing quite well, and it´s a shame he haven´t got anything out of it. My sprinters still sucks, so nothing new from my team.. |

In the end I think we got the result that could be expected. The final day always had too much uphill stuff for us to shine. It seems we do best on harder terrain, but not too hard. Two stage victories in our 2nd home country is something to be happy about.

Also, it hurts even more when it's one of my ex riders that end up winning |

Wahey, finally some good news. Not exactly going to salvage the entire bad month, but finally breaking the top 5 with Kono is nice

Well Cornu got the top 10 and I have 2 others in the top 20, so I think I should be close to the 20 points per day that I was aiming for given my strong early race. Also Cousin in the youth jersey was an unexpected surprise. Going into the stage I thought that he could be good for a decent GC place but this is a solid bonus.
Thanks for the great reports and congrats to SRAM, this has been a huge race for them.
