Dam, I forgot to mention that I'm going away for a week over new years. If I can find access to excel it will probs not support macros.
I'll keep checkig pcm every day to see what the story is. Worst case scenario I send mine back next weekend.

At the moment, non-macro is preferred so I can open it on my tablet, so I'm happy to wait |

So, should we just edit the files ourselves and put 8 instead of 9 stages for California?

Scroll all the way over to the right, and you'll find them behind the "Race day use" and "Race clashes" |

A lot of races have extremely tough looking hilly stages, but no mountain stages.
What are the hill/mountain ratio of the stages in eg. Vuelta al Pais Vasco?
It's really difficult to spot whether it's a race doable for Ulissi or if it needs either Contador or Fothen. The same goes for both Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico.

Putting together Pluchkin's program of 49 race days has proved difficult, so watch out Bakelants!

Why would Bakelants fear Pluchkin?

I agree SotD, especially with the new profiles used for pcm 12. They make it a lot harder to judge whether the hilly stage is mountainious or easier.

Not really since now you can see the climb's category.
SotD, I would say most of those stages are for Ulissi rather than Contador even though they are a bit harder than the classics, I would say so Ulissi might struggle in them. I think puncheurs with a good back-up mountain stat are the best riders for those stages.

I thought Pluchkin's goal is to win the Tour, not Liege

Last year, brighter red meant steeper slope so you could judge the slopes much better which is more important imo but I understand the point you make

Obviously I would put Ricco or Cunego into Tirreno if I had them, but I don't. So the question of whether putting the best possible hilly rider inthere or the subtop hilly rider, who are also the best climber of the team inthere is difficult I think.
For me it's pretty much a question as to whether or not I should sacrifice the Tour de France in terms of a GC rider. I don't exactly have a rider that will be able to podium in it anyway. And if I get a 10th place at the TdF, that could probably be better used somewhere else where Contador could podium.
