The file name says Stelvio, but it hardly looks like the Stelvio
Yeah, it's definitely not the Stelvio. Don't think we should trust the picture's name here.

Btw, the link of the TdF fix is the same from a month earlier, right?
Yes, I haven't been logged on since then, so I just repeated it.

Scanuppia is correct. Though the hardest slopes in the climb is too steep for the stage editor, the length and percentage of the climb and also the profile looks quite the same as in IRL.
I don't really know what to make of stages yet, but my road network is so big that I can make anything from Brescia to Trento++
The Stelvio was of course a planted hint...

Well, i've climben once Scanuppia, that is not to far for my village. It's the hardest climb I've ever climbed even if i've ridden a MTB not a road bike. Sorry for my english... |

I have found out that I needed a new challenge for stagemaking, so I have decided to make a complete Giro variant inside of one DEM-file. This will be difficult, and I don't know if I can succeed, but I hope it will be successful. The biggest problem will be to keep the route away from the sides, so you can see the whole graphics, but I think I have made the route in properly distance. It will be a lot of short hilly stages, and not many of the huge mountain stages, but I think still the route is looking good.
@andodone: Where do you live? If it is close to Scanuppia, the chances are very big for that the race will cross your hometown |

I don't think so... if you will cross Valsugana, maybe can cross the Manghen that takes from Telve Valsugana to Canazei... |

The route for the variant is made, and the road network for the full DEM-file is completed. I am going to delete the irellevant roads when the stages nearby is finished, and I will not make every city/forest at the same time, to not make the file too big. The graphical is not my best attribute in stagemaking, but I'll give it a try. (The reason for that I make the SS directly from the Stage Editor is that my pc cannot play PCM with graphics)

1. Verona TTT
2. Verona - Verona (Flat)
3. Verona - San Bonifacio (Flat)
4. San Bonifacio - Costabissara (?) (Flat)
5. Malo - Arzignano (Hilly)
6. Chiampo - Negrar (Hilly)
7. Bussolengo - Lonato del Garda (Flat)
8. Montichiari ITT
9. Calcinato - Odolo (?) (Hilly)
10. Cavacca - Val di San Valentino (Mountain finish)
11. Tione di Trento - Passo Croce Domini (?) (Mountain finish)
12. Riva del Garda - Arco (Giro del Garda) (Flat)
13. Arco - Monte Bondone (Mountain finish)
14. Mattarello - Caprino Veronese (Flat)
15. Caprino Veronese - Scanuppia-Malga Palazzo (Queen Stage)
16. Rovereto - Schio (Hilly)
17. Schio - Passo Coe-Fondo Grande (Mountain finish)
18. Calliano - Fondo Grande MITT
19. Folgaria - Passo Manghen (?) (Mountain finish)
20. Pergine Valsugana - Trento (Flat/Hilly)
21. Trento ITT
The stages with a question mark is stages I am not sure if containing parts that is too close to the outside of the map.

That's pretty awesome. Don't think I've ever seen that much road in one .dem file before.
Really cool idea - and looks great so far. Scanuppia, Croce Domini and Manghen are real killers, so it should be quite a hard race!

Yep, that is right. Stage 15, will cross Punta Veleno, Monte Baldo, Passo Bordala and Scanuppia, which means around 6000 height metres in 175 kilometres |

The first taste on the Giro:
Stage 1: Verona TTT

A short and flat team time trial opens this years Giro, not unlike many of the last years openings.
Stage 19: Folgaria - Passo Manghen-Osteria Carlettani

One of the hardest stages in the Giro, which will cross many tough peaks in the mountains east of Trento. The final up Passo Manghen has been used several times in the Giro. The finish is not at the top of Manghen, but at ca. 1500 metres; officially to not make the stage too hard, but really because it didn't fit in in the dem-file...
Mountains:

Thanksto everyone who have commented. It means a lot to me, and I hope that you guys will not be disappointed when the race is finished
