Paint.Net is probably the worst one, at least imo. GIMP is better if you're looking for a free program.

According to me, but that's a matter of opinion. Paint.Net is simpler, with less tools and options.

I second that! Gimp has plenty of functions you can find In Photoshop.
And as stated its a free ware.
As for Paint.Net: you cant create photoshop (multilayer [psd]) files, which means that at the end o the work process, you have a shit which has one layer excactley. So in the aftermath it is less useful if you want to create national schampionshirts as you more or less have to recreate the whole jersey whereas with a psd file you can do them in a few minutes...

At the end of the day its all about personal preference, so you will figure out which one suits you best |

I had already work with Paint.net and now I'm starting to work with GIMP.
And with this first impressions I prefer GIMP.

Pretty sure that you can save the shirt like that, I think it's called a .pdn file.

i think photoshop elements is only for editing pictures, for example the contrast and the brightness
i think you cannot create pcm- shirts with that program |

Hey guys, I'm currently using GIMP to make shirts, does anybody know which tool to use to curve a logo, I'm trying to curve the end a bit to put the logo on the sides of the shorts. |

That's true.
Plus, there are plenty of plugins for Paint.NET, including ones to save your files as PSD, if you think PDN is not good enough
