Thanks a lot for being that nice and supportive!
Next (and probably last) stage I'm gonna build this season is...
...GP Nobili Rubinetterie Coppa Citta di Stresa (UCI Europe 1.1).
According to the released guide the whole name is Gran Premio Nobili - Coppa Papà Carlo - Coppa Città di Stresa.
It seems like this race is the "GP di Stresa" in the official_release.cdb, which makes me wonder what race the "GP di Arona" might be.
Tempt to capture the atmosphere of the race by trying to rebuild some of the smaller villages in the regions typical narrowness. At least the settlements near Lago d'Orta and Lago Maggiore are predestinated due to the difficulties with the regular cities at water sections.

I think cyanide still believe that those are independient classics, in 2011 were two different races, GP Nobili - Coppa Papa Carlo and GP Nobili - Cita di Stresa. They forgot eliminated the Pappa Carlo.
If you look the date of that races, you will confirme.
So, GP Arona is Pappa Carlo.

I see. That way it makes perfect sense... thanks for explaining.

Thanks again... stage isn't 100 % yet.
Had an issue with border objects I can't ignore (cars are standing right on the street). Strange thing is these objects don't appear in the editor and there are not even the dots to remove them... , but ingame and in the stage viewer they are perfectly shown.
When I'm back home I'll try if some slight changes at the border- and audience-parameters will fix it, so...
...upload tonight or tomorrow. |

Finally...
...GP Nobili Rubinetterie Coppa Citta di Stresa (UCI Europe 1.1)
...DOWNLOAD
...screenshots
PS: If anyone faces the problem with the invisible border objects... in my case turning "Max dist. not on way" (Border Parameter) to "0" solved the problem... can't really explain why.

This is simply amazing. All the details in each individual house, and cars, and cities.. must have taken some effort and time to put everything in its place, but the result is great Only Cyanide's official stages can be compared to these graphic-wise imo, and I'll say that yours is better. Great job
Btw, having a computer like that to take screens does help certainly

Thanks lluuiiggii, I'm very grateful for your support all the time, all over the place!
A well running computer makes stagemaking for me a lot easier. Not even can you do these flashy screenshots promoting your work..., but also every slight change (e.g. in isolated objects) seems to matter when reviewing a stage. If it's done well even smaller parts can look very rewarding and on the other hand (if pieces of a stage are done badly) the obvious flaws motivates to redo before uploading.
Many times the screens I made are containing areas that differ from the usual, but when taken a closer look at least 95 % of my stages are just covered by the common field, forest or city sections we all know. |

Thanks to a hint of Pellizotti2 I discovered the ability to sink objects into the landscape... and want to share my first steps...
Spoiler
Looks somewhat like a old, small graveyard ingame...
The viewer-shot reveals the sunken churches, roadsigns and chapels.
Could be a landing stage...
...or some floating picnic tables |

Nice screens! I sometimes use the sinking objects thing to make sure that the cars I add alongside the mountains road do not get covered by rocks, trees, etc (then I add a tractor beneath the ground). Of course the car adding task was made a lot easier by Cyanide's new feature that the Editor does it automatically this year (that's actually something good.. and not bugged! how can it be? )
The idea with the picnics tables is simply brilliant Nice job

Cheers, guys. Cyanide did indeed a very nice job implementing the new border features. To move objects freely in 3D can still come in handy when placing campervans on strong climbs; always troubled me seeing back or rear flying in the air.
Spoiler Other options:
The topping of the big silo looks nice (like some other buildings, too)
The picnic table as a random piece of wood... might get once a panel. Tool shed could be hatch-like...
Converted a fantasy stage I made last year:
Boras Runt (166,8 km)

Slowly proceeding "fantasy" race...
Niedersachsenrundfahrt existed till 2007 (as a pro race) before gets victim of the last witch hunt and the involved disappearance of sponsors in german cycling. This edition is somwhat in the spirit of 2002 or 2003. Sprinters will get their stage wins, but hardly prevail in the general classement like the years later.
The TT is fluffed...
...so is stage 2...
Stage 3 is in progress, which leads right through lower saxony's capitol of Hannover...

Whoa, that seems like a huge city in stage 3 (for PCM standards) - have you managed to finish the race in 3D? I fear it'll crash most times because of RAM use.
When you have such a big city, it's not needed to go much further with it than only covering the route roads, then you'll have less chances of a RAM crash and the result will be the same, since we're forced into a closer camera when passing through a city in game, so you can't see the 'depth' of it much (hope that makes sense )). Cyanide's Champs Elysee stage in PCM11 is a good example of that (see how Paris is built)
Oh, and nice screens

I understand what you mean and I will wait to download this till we have an answer about the probability of crashes.
But I like that you, Margh Norway, has made this 2007 race which is very close to 2006

Oops, thanks for raising the issue, lluuiiggii.
Fully understand what you mean. Ingame there isn't much reward for having a city that big and on the same time you might get the game unnecessary instable.
Just finished the 3rd stage and had a test drive (speed: x4 most of the time). Everything worked fine on my side, but since my computer is quite new and works great I got a bit unsespecting about potential problems. Would really like to leave the stage as it is, however won't if it could cause crashes...

Screenshots:
Would be really great, if someone could test if the stage is well running. Feedback is highly appreciated, especially regarding any stability issues. Thanks in advance.
@Rauling:
Thanks. The stages for the Niedersachsenrundfahrt changed every year and the one I make never existed, but... if it somehow fits in your DB-project I'm happy anyway.

Niedersachsenrundfahrt: stage 4 done...
...in progress, too:
Copa América de Ciclismo (UCI America 1.2)
PS: This is my first time making a stage from a none-dem-region. Big salute to the fellow stagemakers doing this on a regular basis... till here it wasn't fun, nor easy for me. |

The screens in Niedi.. Nied.. Nierd.. however you spell look great (as usual) The German houses are so nice!
But Copa América de Ciclismo? Fantastic It's actually the first time I see someone creating a stage/race from Brazil, specially with the PCM10-afterwards editor and its .dem file limitations. But if I may ask a question, how exactly has it been hard? The route is a pan flat short circuit Unless you're recreating Rio's hills/mountains
Great job
