Now i get it. Well I will try but to be honest I just started been interested in cycling last year and dont have any idea what roads are famous and what climbs are also famous.
I only follow cycling since I went to the Auvergne in France last summer, while the Tour was there . Perhaps you can do some research.
But, you could start the Tour in Belgium perhaps, and make a cobbled stage. Then you go to the west coast of France (Normandie, Bretagne). Then to the Massif Central, where the riders climb le Puy de Dome. Then you can go to Montpellier, on the south coast. Then the riders go to the west, to the Pyrenees. After that, they go eastwards, to the Alps, and then they go to Paris.
I think that would be a good route, feel free to change things!
Maybe you can take a look at this map, so you can see that sometimes the finish of a stage is far from the start of the next stage.

Stages should not be much longer than 200KM as maximum, and mountain stages can be between 105 and 185 KM

Maybe this would be a good start:
Stage 1: Prologue in the centre of Bruxelles (8KM)
Stage 2: Bruxelles - Bastogne (190 KM)
Stage 3: Bastogne - Reims (200 KM)
Stage 4: Reims - Beauvais (160 KM)
Stage 5: Caen - Le Mans (170 KM)
Stage 6: Tours - Limoges (210 KM)
Stage 7: Limoges - Clermont-Ferrand (Finish on top of le Puy de Dome, 170 KM)
I will work this out on google maps tomorrow
What do you think of it?

fickman, MitchNL wrote a tutorial on how to make real stages, and I translated:
Step 1: Go to Bikeroutetoaster (https://bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx)
Step 2: Create your route.
Step 3: When you finish that, click 'Summary' (it's above the map)
Step 4: In the menu 'Download', click 'GPX'.
Step 5: Save the GPX
Step 6: Start the Stage Editor.
Step 7: Create a new stage.
Step 8: Click 'Read Bounds from GPX/KML file' and select your GPX file.
(You've now got the real terrain)
Step 9: Select 'Top View' and in the menu on the right 'Contextual Panel' for the palette. (The thing painters use. It's 2nd of the 4 icons in that menu)
Step 10: Now select 'Load GPX/KML file'
Step 11: In 'Top View' you see the route you created with the real landscape.

I will play the stage right now.
But that is very sad, I hope you can restore your computer! (both for private use and for stage making)

I played your stage, and it was quite good, though there was no city, and the stage was 10.5 KM (which is too long for a prologue) instead of 8. Apart from that, I really appreciate you do this, and it was a fun stage to play.

Ohh, I thought you made this stage on your PC, and later it crashed. But very good that it's a real route! And you perhaps can now only make the roads for the first few stages, and later, when your computer is restored, build cities and trees. Or you can take some rest, you deserve it

I just wrote one myself
I just replace stages (never do the 1st or last stage, then you need to edit other columns too), so for example the 2nd stage of the Tour.
1) Go to STA_Stage
2) Filter using Race, and fill in: Tour de France
3) Find the 2nd stage
4) In the 3rd column (gene_sz_stage_name), rename the stage to whatever you want.
5) MOST IMPORTANT!!! In the 4th column (gene_sz_stage_filename), copy the name of the stage files (rename the stage file and just copy it, make sure the file extension isn't in there)
6) In fkIDstagetype, write either 1, 2 or 3.
1 for normal stage
2 for individual time trial
3 for team time trial
7) In fkIDrelief, write either 1, 2 or 4.
1 for flat stage
2 for hilly stage
3 for mountain stage
8) In gene_f_distance write the length of the stage.
9) Make sure gene_f_time_gap is ALWAYS 0 for a time trial, 7 for a mountain stage and 20 for a hilly or flat stage.
10) In gene_f_mountain you can write down how heavy the mountain or hill stats of riders are being counted.
1 for 100% mountain
0 for 100% hill
11) Save your database under a new name (otherwise you don't have the original DB anymore) and play!

If you just want to test stages, you can also just change them with one in the DB and later change it back (e.g. you make a backup of 'top_tdf_10', name your stage that, place it in CM_stages and later overwrite your stage with the original).
fcancellara: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....d_id=21392 But nevertheless a nice tutorial

You could make the roads now, and do the cities when your PC is restored.
