Hey, that's PCM 11... Happens to everybody a lot.
I'd rather say this is narrow roads.. Don't know why the stagemaker made this with narrow roads, because it ruins the gameplay
Bad luck on that, but again, a 3rd is still good on the first race of the team. Good luck with Hutarovich in the next stages

Tour de San Luis Stage 6 Report
Favourites: Lastras, Seeldraeyers, Bruseghin, Kern, Kiserlovski
The final chance for the GC contenders to gain time. We're hoping that Kiserlovski can gain some time back but it's highly unlikely with Movistar being such a strong team. We'll also be trying to get Pliuschin the KOM jersey.
Pliuschin made it into the BOTD, which contained eight riders, as he looked to pick up as many points for the mountain classification as he could. He was also the best placed in the group, well over eight minutes down
After picking up maximum points at the first, very small climb, he battled to third at the top of the huge climb that followed. The break was now twelve minutes ahead
As the peloton hit the final climb, it was reduced to just 14 riders, with Kiserlovski and Grivko in it for us. Up ahead the breakaway would fight for the win as they were still six minutes clear at the top
With 5km to go, Petrov gave it one last try to leave his 5 breakaway companions behind but he didn't get anywhere. Pliuschin was already on Frattini's wheel waiting for the final, uphill sprint
Despite his earlier attack, Petrov still had easily enough in the tank to destroy the other escapees and take a comfortable win for Astana. Pliuschin took third behind Frattini. Great ride by the Moldovan
Meanwhile, in the battle for the GC, Bruseghin started the day one second ahead of Kern and, unbelievably, they finished alongside each other, mano a mano. Kiserlovski could not keep up and finished in the next group

Team Summary
A great ride today by Pliuschin who clinched the king of the mountains jersey and almost got a stage win but just didn't have the legs after a very tough 180km break. Robert did all he could but clearly wasn't good enough today and Bruseghin looks like he's won the tour by ONE second. Sucks to be Kern I'd imagine. Oh well, one more chance for Huta tomorrow and then back home to the less warm Czech Republic!
Stage Winner

Nice fight for the GC Overall. Kiserlovski couldn't keep up with them But he is still 3rd overall, which is good.
Btw, Rafael Andriato in the break and Top 10, nice . Must have been a bonus for riding very close from home

@luigi, 3rd is good enough for our debut race. Unfortunately, it's impossible to attack Movistar when they have such a strong team.
And, yeah, it's always nice seeing 'local' guys in the breaks. You can see the passion in their faces He's top 20 on GC aswell.
@canojuancho, thanks, not bad at all for the beginning of the season. |

Tour de San Luis Stage 7 Report
Favourites: Hutarovich, Degenkolb, van Staeyen, Gatto, Arashiro
The final stage, with quite a hilly profile but it is definitely a sprinter's stage. One last chance for Hutarovich to open his account for the team. Keeping Kiserlovski safe in the peloton is the other aim of the day.
Today's breakaway contained nine riders including Kessiakoff, who, despite being one of the pre race favourites, has had a miserable time here
With Hutarovich feeling extremely good and the gap at eight minutes with no team chasing, we sent Marczynski up the road to encourage the sprinter's teams to chase. It worked and the break was caught with 10km to go
With black clouds suddenly looming, the Project 1t4i leadout train roared into action. The only rider with them was Huta. This was looking very good for the Belarussian
In the end, it was easy as Huta waited until the last minute to dodge out of Degenkolb's wheel and power to his first win of the season. Fantastic

Team Summary
Well, Yauheni got the victory in the end and that is all that matters today. Robert ensures his podium finish and in my opinion, the Tour de San Luis can be regarded as a success. We take home the King of the Mountains jersey aswell with Pliuschin. Congratulations to Bruseghin and, particularly, Movistar. Let's hope we can pick up this form in Italy next week as we begin our campaign to get a wildcard for the Giro. See you in Calabria.

Over in Australia, the World Tour kicked off in Australia as usual. With four of the six stages won by Alessandro Petacchi, it's obvious that he's in top shape at this point of the season. However, the GC was won by another veteran, the God of Thunder, Thor Hushovd. The Norwegian saw off Vicioso, Samuel Dumoulin and Geraint Thomas on the tough uphill finish on Stage 3 to claim the ochre jersey and he never looked back.

Great win to conclude a great week for the team in Argentina Good luck for the races in Europe now.
@tsmoha
I was wondering if that was your version of the Tour de San Luis.. decided not to name anyone without being sure ps.: ever though of releasing a version of those stages with 2-spline roads? Could maybe be good

@sutty, thanks, I knew I had to do something because nobody in the peloton was chasing. It worked a treat.
Yeah, I'm a big Thomas fan aswell (who isn't?), and I'm predicting big things for him this year, on the game and in real life.
@luigi, thanks, we'll need it no doubt against the big boys like Liquigas and Lampre, but we really want that wildcard for the Giro. Big season goal. |

Yeah, maybe a good idea, I will think about updating the narrow roads I already made this new fantasy race for PCM11, because I don't like the San Luis-race anymore
@brewers90: Sorry for "spamming" off-topic! Good luck with the story!

Giro della Calabria Preview
Our first ever race in Europe will be the Giro della Calabria in the southern tip of Italy. It is a short race with just three stages, but they are all tough and there will almost certainly be lots of top Italian riders here starting their season. The first two stages should be for the puncheurs with difficult finishes but the third could end in a sprint as the climbing is in the first two thirds of the stage and there is a flat run-in. We enter the race with a team that is built around Grega Bole, who is a specialist in these tough hilly stages and he should be quick enough in the sprints to beat any out and out climbers. The rest of the team will be trying to get in breakaways.

Giro della Calabria Stage 1 Report
Favourites: Bosisio, Pozzovivo, Marcato, Carrara, Bole
An easy stage with a difficult finish equals very difficult to manage. We have to get riders in to the breakaway today and see what happens. Grega is in good shape for January, so he needs to stay with the GC contenders on the final climb.
There were lots of breakaway attempts at the start but the first one that stuck was a four-man group including Serbian champ Zsolt Der, who won the second sprint
Eventually they were joined by seven more riders including another of ours, Mihaylov. This break increased the lead to seven minutes and shared out all of the five sprints between them
With the final climb approaching, Aregger (Atlas) kicked out of the break and only Der could follow. They went up the final climb together
With the peloton catching the break fast, this aerial shot shows Bole on the left being brought to the front by his team mates. The front two are too far ahead though and look certain to fight for the win
Unfortunately for us, Aregger had too much for Der who paid for his earlier efforts but just held off a flying Marcato for second. Mihaylov and Bole also finished in the top ten. Great start for the team

Team Summary
A great start for the team but it was almost even better. Unfortunately, Zsolt couldn't get past Aregger at the finish but second is a superb result for him. Bole couldn't follow Marcato but was ahead of all the other overall contenders. Aregger now leads in every single competition, so a great day for him and Atlas. We look forward to more of the same tomorrow, but I fear we will be a marked team.

@sutty, Good luck in Europe is a bit general isn't it? Thanks though.
@freitas, it's unlikely that he'll hang on but we'll be able to sacrifice a couple of riders to help him instead of everyone working for Bole now. It would be an immense result if he could hang on!
@ste, thanks
