The 4th stage is the first ITT for our team this year. Del Nero is in a nice overall position and he might be able to impove himself today in this time trial over 18 kilometres

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/2Kessiakoff.jpg
Kessiakoff was the first, setting a great time with 26´10. No one was able to beat this time before the best overall riders came

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/3DelNero.jpg
Del Nero was the first one of them. He set a fantastic time with 26´18. He couldn´t beat Kessiakoff today but as the Astana rider wasn´t a big rival in the overall, Del Nero´s result was absolutely great for this moment

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/4Knees.jpg
Christian Knees wasn´t able to beat Kessiakoff but he got the same time as our team catpain Del Nero.

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/5Uran.jpg
Rigoberto Uran was on the road but he hadn´t one of those amazing days. He had to do something against Visconti today but in the end it was only 1 seconds he could get back from the Italian

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/6Visconti.jpg
Visconti finished as 17th today but as I said, he only lost 1 second to his main rival Uran. Winner of stage 4 was of course Kessiakoff but also Del Nero who improved in the overall standings from 8 to 4

After the great time trial by Del Nero, we´re pretty optimistic about today´s stage. Almost the whole stage is quite easy but the last 7 kilometres could change everything in the overall.

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/2-2.jpg
With only 2,5 kilometres to go the pack was really extended as the speed was incredible high. Del Nero had some problems to stay in the first part.

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/3-2.jpg
Mazzanti was too fast for the pack! Only Uran, Tiralongo, Kennaugh and Augustyn were able to follow. Visconti had no chance today just like Del Nero.

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/4-2.jpg
The sprint started within the last kilometre but Mazzanti was exhausted after his great ride and speed change at the front of the peloton a few kilometres ago.

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/5-1.jpg
Everything looked quite good for Team Sky as they had still 2 riders in front with Uran and Kennaugh but Tiralongo had no desire to let them pass for the stage win.

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/6-1.jpg
Astana takes the stage win in person of Tiralongo. Team Sky completed the podium on stage 5 with Uran and Kennaugh. Uran takes the leader´s jersey today after Visconti lost 1 minute and 26 seconds to him.

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/7-1.jpg
Del Nero finished as 13th with more than 2 minutes behind Tiralongo.

Del Nero finished 13th, you mean. Pfft

It's actually a good result, considering his climbing abilities. Smile

Man you read damn fast =O

Indeed nice result for Del Nero, hopefully he can keep his Top 10.

Thanks guys, it´s a good result as I think but nothing special Wink

@Freitas, You´re absolutely right he finished as 13th Smile thank you, I´m actually really tired after 2 hours of practise

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/1-5.jpg
The 6th stage might be the last one for the overall contenders. Visconti lost his jersey to Uran on the last stage so I´m sure he will attack today but our main goal must be a good result with Del Nero today. The stage final isn´t that hard so maybe a top 5 result is possible

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/2-3.jpg
As we expected, the first move came by Visconti. Del Nero was able to follow the Italian so everything looked great today as Tiralongo and Uran were some seconds behind them

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/3-3.jpg
Unfortunely Del Nero wasn´t able to stay with Visconti on the last 2 kilometres. Also Tiralongo and Uran came really fast from behind

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/4-3.jpg
The sprint for position two and three began on the final uphill. Del Nero looked very tired but he was fighting a lot

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/5-2.jpg
Visconti takes the stage on an impressive way today. Congrats to him and maybe he will be able to get his jersey back?

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/6-2.jpg
Bad luck for us today as Del Nero lost the podium on the last metres. Uran finished as second but he lost 56 seconds to Visconti. That means Uran lost his jersey again so everything looks like Visconti is the winner of this year´s Tour de San Luis. Good news for NetApp as many overall contenders lost some minutes today. Del Nero is back on the fourth overall position

The last stage is another flat one with some hilly parts but they shouldn´t be too hard for some sprinters. Eric Baumann got some great results up to here so he might be able to sprint for the win today

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Team%20NetApp/2-4.jpg
We totally failed our sprint train today! No one of our riders were in a good shape today so we haden´t any chance to be a part of the stage final which was dominated by Farnese Vini. Mazzanti made a great job, leading out his captain Guardini, who gets the stage win with ease
