Video fresh from 'Liggett News'
Seems like a perfectly timed sprint and some great form.
We shouldn't draw too many conclusions just yet, though. It's likely, since he's at his home race where he's known for months he'd be the designated leader, that he's in much better form than anyone else (barring the other australians).

Looked like a solid sprint from Goss. What was Thomas doing anyway? He was charging hard, looked back, there were no Sky riders anywhere around, and kept riding hard until he looked back a second time, and then it seemed to register his team was nowhere to be seen. Teed up HTC perfectly.
By the way, great Cyclingnews mistake in the report for the first stage of the Tour de San Luis. They call him Jacobo Guarieni (I know I spelled his last name wrong, but a) I'm not a "news" website, and b) I can't be bothered to check it). Anyway, you don't translate Jacob into Italian by adding an o...

From what I can gather from post-stage comments, Swift was meant to be on his wheel, with Henderson and Sutton after Swift. Only Swift lost the wheel, so that plan didnt work. (It is a Sky lead out afterall!)

Surprise right there. A crash a couple of kilometers before the sprint, Goss, Cavendish and some Sky riders where down, so guess thats why Swift where not leadout. Also a huge crash in the sprint, dont hope anyone is too bad injured.

Judging on the pic of Cav alone, those crashes dont sound good. And by the sounds of Swift's interview, that last crash couldve been caused by someone riding into Geraint Thomas, who had pulled off.
I just had a look into the results this morning and thought WTF?
Several s.t. groups mixed over the whole results.
Hopefully nobody is too injured to miss in the next months.
Hope Cavendish is fine, too without anything broken.
Greipel by the way didn`t crash but had a puncture in the end. Didn`t lose time but also wasn`t able to sprint, maybe better for him.
I really hope Cav is ok! This pic is horrible...congrats to Swift, he is a good one for the future. Pity, that we have to wait for the showdown, Greipel vs. Cavendish.
