Managed to avoid the result and watched back the Eurosport recording of the last 50km this evening. Glad I did, great stage, great riding by Kwiatkowski and great win by Gallopin, he's in fantastic form at the moment so never say never tomorrow
You can check out Kwiatkowski's data on Strava complete with power and heart rate data.
https://www.strav.../268033105
Clearly the normalised power for the stage is impressive but slightly surprised he wasn't more in the red with regard to heart rate, though I'm sure he was working hard in the rain and cold.

That was amazing to watch!
Kwiatkowski on the descending attack (can't remember who was saying that they were so boring), Porte and Thomas both crashed (the bent brake lever imagine sprinting with that) and Gallopin with one of the best rides I have seen in a long time!
This stage was up there with the 2011 tour stage to Gap with the excitement!

Tony Gallopin the real star here. Why is it people are still banging on about Kwiatkowski?
As I suspected Kwiatek is not (yet) a super super stage racer. In the end his team attack didn't quite work for him, but it definately exploded the race and made it brilliant viewing. As said he did followed the wheels of that superman Tony martin well - Martin has great bike handling for such a big guy. Does make me wonder whether Tony could become uber cobbled strongman?
Sky were a bit unlucky - but you have to say Thomas seems to crash way too often. Of course anything that happens to the team in black is evidence of doping - I simply think Thomas just happens to be not such a good bike handler. We didn't get to see Thomas' crash only him banging his hadlebars - that made me laugh.
Feel Gallopin should really be able to hold on here - surely he cannont lose 30 odd seconds given the form he showed on the finale yesterday?

Apparently there were several bike tests to check if some motors were integrated. Still there this discussion it seems.

Good ride from Talansky after a poor week. Meanwhile, TG started off strong and has disappointed this weekend.

So, fingers crossed for a lifetime performance of Gallopin. Last time, he lost 2 minutes on Porte but obviously he has massively improved since then in 2013.
Tim Wellens 4th right now. He should have his Top 10 secure now?

Great ride by Wellens.
Hoping Gallopin pulls off a miracle here with Porte riding well.
