Fantastic race. Have to say, Cancellera may be one dimensional in his tactics, but when you are that good at executing them, it really doesn't matter.
Hats off to Roelandts, Lotto deserved that 3rd place with all that they did. |

Awesome ride by Cancellara, it takes a lot to shake off Sagan. He didn't wheelsuck today and the only time I have seen him do that was TdF stage 1. Fair play from him by taking turns even when he was on his his limit. |

I hate to be the one who breaks the news to you, but incoming shocker; up through the whole of human history women have "suffered" more on the hands of men than vica versa.
I don't think Sagan ment it in a disrespectful manner at all. He thought he was being funny, it was all in good intent, now he has learned.

I don't agree with them saying he's a wheelsucker (he wasn't today, anyway), everybody has to play to their strenghts.
Cancellara can't sprint so he pulls away before the line, Sagan can sprint so he tries to hang on. Sagan is a bit of a poor example seeing as how he can do most anything.
strade bianche 2nd sagan 4th cancellara
milan san remo 2nd sagan 3rd cancellara
harelbeke 2nd sagan 1st cancellara
gent wevelgem 1st sagan dnf cancellara
rvv 2nd sagan 1st cancellara
paris roubaix can be won by cancellara but sagan can do good results and on amstel and liege
don't know what means "nerc" as it isn't in no english dictionary
That was supposed to be "nerv", the letters on my keyboard are jumping all over the place.

Yes, because butt pinching is human nature?
You could make a better case for rape being human nature.

I'm sorry, I don't get what you mean. I didn't see anyone refer to "human nature", so I'm not sure if you're talking to me or someone else

Ah.
Anyway, to not leave this post as just "Ah", I believe today further fuels the proof that Hagen can't (yet at least) handle long distances unless the race is easy like Plouay or so.
He was right up there following the attacks at crunch time, but then when it was just following wheels on the flat he exploded.

Far more impressive considering he finished second in another race the very same day!

Awesome to see Haussler back in the mix. Pretty sure he was top 10?
Also can't help but laugh at Sagan , picked the wrong time to grope the podium girls. Only 500 cameras watching mate!

On the topic of Sagan pinching incident, would be funny to see the reaction if a female cyclist had done this to a male. Perspective. I feel society is becoming to quick to judge and just blurting out the word sexist, when it is not approporiate. That being said, if Sagan didn't actually know the girl well, he has obviously crossed the line. If he did, well l dont have a problem with it. |

I have seen some of the most stupid and far from cycling related posts ever, here about Sagan being just funny and acting like people do, not like robot. This is exactly what i was talking about in several posts in difficult topics forum, so we can move it there, i will "kick every too much political correct hipster in his ass" there, if they would like.
If your world is world where i should get sued and dragged through the mud for this behavior, i hope our worlds will never meet.
Do you have some problems with girls being there as an object for the first place? Also Sagan is flirting with the podium girls all the time, who knows maybe he bangs half of them, are you just jealous?
Should we cancel the Formula1 podium celebration? I think splitting the champagne all over the girls is clearly sexist, it is clearly the act of artificial ejaculation. Stop that you bad men!!!
I hope when these clowns will end their nonsense posts, the race will be discussed. And that was a nice one, well the finale was, after not much action until last Kwaremont and Patenberg. Monster tempo by Cancellara, he was always going to win this race by TT mode like this, no chance for Sagan there. Another 2nd is great anyway, Peter did seem happy with the on the line. Hats off to Roelandts for nice attack.

Well, yes. Not that I don't or wouldn't like being surrounded by nice girls, but they're here as a reward and only for one quality : they're cute.
So yes, that's problematic.

Yeah, sure, I can't think of any other motivation for my (our) arguments besides jealousy. *sigh*

In these times of recession, wasting champagne or any other expensive good, is rather misplaced I think.
They're not spilling it only on girls but also on themselves and other podium guys, so, the ejaculation metaphor is a bit off the line.

Nice one ? Rather one dimensional as written above. Only thing of interest from a tactical viewpoint would be that Roelandts was right in anticipating the leaders battle.
Sagan made a mistake by relaying Cancellara. It wouldn't have been a classy way to win, had he succeeded, but he should have wheel-sucked and pissed Cancellara, with the risk of being caught (which is a relative risk when you have Sagan's sprinting abilities).
Anyway, Luigi has showed he's still a great Classicomano. |

Indeed. As well, yesterday, Demare showed true class..
First Ronde ever. Finishes 24th. Ahead of many much more experienced and favoruted riders in this race.
The French have an amazing trio in Bouhanni, Demare and Coquard for future ( and are already now doing amazingly well of 3 of them ).
