I don't see Phinney as a team leader in a GT, and neither as a top-sprinter
I wonder how Kelderman will handle his first GT, I think he's really promising, although I guess he has to work for Gesink in the Giro. He might be a contender for the young riders jersey though...
I think Nibali got the best chances to win, if this list is right...

Neither are Cancellara, Visconti, Durdridge. It's just a list with the more important riders which will ride the Giro.
I guess old habits die hard. I was looking at Sky and thinking. Huh? Cavendish will be riding, but he's not there... Then it recurred to me, oh, right, he's Lefevre's puppy dog now

Well, but Phinney is the only guy at the BMC list, so that would make me think that BMC would have Phinney as absolute leader.
+ I can see Cancellara + Visconti trying to grab a stage win or something, I don't really see Phinney go for that(except TTs)
Well, never mind, guess you're right...

Why couldn't Phinney go for a stage win outside of a TT? He has shown that he can win in under 23's and with natural progression there is no reason he couldn't surprise

@Strydz But I just can't see why he's as only important rider for BMC at that list. No GC leader or sprinter or something on it.
OT: Lol at Cav Although I understand, I guess it's very annoying that people constantly ask questions about Lance...

I think Phinney is there to get the Pink in the first week.
I dont know if the race starts with a prologue, or of its a few flat stages and then a TT, but either way, he will have a good shot at it, before they hit the real mountains.
Meh, Phinney or anyone else on a strong team. Phinney has less of a chance at pink than most riders. Especially considering the mountains come right afterwards and far before the hilly 55km TT

It should be a nice battle for White between Kelderman, Felline, Battaglin, Chaves and Betancur if they are free to ride on his own.
