It seems that you do get 40 points for a win in a 1.2 race in the db, so thats not the reason for the unhappy sponsors. Then I have no idea why it is harder to please sponsors in this db, did people experience the same thing with the pcmspain db perhaps?
it heavily depends on your team budget. CSC will never be impressed by winning a 1.2 or 1.1 race, while a team with only 500 000 will love to be just on the podium of such a race.
that's not right, I was Designa Køkken and won the + a 5th place and I get no respons from the sponsors, ay all.
Niels_h: I only got 5 ponits in a little french 1.2 race, for the 1st place and the 5th place gives 1 point

it seems off for me as well, im playing with team high road, i won a couple of giro stages and only got a + for the first as that was a sponsor goal, the rest got none, i wore the leaders jersey for a week and got 1 + , won the tirenno - adriatico and got 1 + and so one, my sponsor confidence is poor atm.
surely it must be a result of the changes in race category

High road got a lot of money, and the tirreno adriatico is only 2.HC....
you need to win pro tour races |

but it is still not realistic that your only get 1 + for the victory in Tirreno Adriatico

I have to agree with that, but it's very hard to fix this.
because to make it 2 or 3 +, you need to lower their budget, which means you have to lower the salaries to not get a negative budget. but when you try to contract new riders, they'll still be asking high salaries, so its impossible... |

Is it totally controlled by the budget?
I ask because in other databases I've upped the budget of a crappy team and still gotten +'s as if it were at the original level.
Anyway, the big issue isn't that they get low star bonuses... it's that Tirenno-Adriatico and Paris-Nice are viewed the same as the Tour of California and Tour of Langkawi... while the down under classic is rated higher.
I know the game is based on pro-tour races being bigger... but perhaps T-A and P-N should be upped to the "XPT" category rather than HC.
Let's face it... the Tour Down Under is NOT as big as T-A or P-N, regardless of the fact it's pro-tour. |

I agree with you PN and TA are much bigger races, but you'll have to do with this. Just try to win the TDU instead... |

Are you going to the calendar when it crashes?
In the US this has happened in virtually all databases for continental teams. In this one it hits the continental teams hard (3 months won't let you go to the calendar) and also affects pro teams (just may). |

Well I tried... got second.
Anyway, there's a category called XPT (which I assume stands for ex-pro tour). Milano-Sanremo is in that classification. It gives you experience as if it were a PT race but no PT points, and seems to give you a better star bonus than HC races (I got 2 stars for winning the Omloop Het Volk (HC) and 2 stars for second in Milano-Sanremo (XPT) with High Road.
It would seem reasonable to move TA and PN to XPT... as they were in fact pro-tour events last year. |

I agree to all who say it's to hard to please the sponsor.
I started with NGC-Medical with a budget of 550 000, very small. I won recently a stage of the criterium international, HC-category and only got +. For a win in the Giro of Mendrisiotto, which is a goal of the team I only got +++. |

I dont think so... A stage maker will have to take a look at it. You'll have to sim it.
You could try to change the .xml file in your map CM_Stages with one with a similar profile and see if that works, but it migth screw up you game, I'm not sure. |

Don't know if this bug has been reportet before: I'm playing with Team Volksbank, and one of the sponsors goal was to finish as leading sprinter in the Sachsen-Tour International.. I managed this, and won the sprint jersey (along with the GC), but on the Goalspage it says that i didn't managed it.. |

I have played a year with Team Sparebanken Vest, and at the end of the season when i got my new budget, it was - 550 000 euros. I still had 200 000 euros left of my old budget, so i belive this is a bug ?
One month later I got bankrupt, and my career ended
