If you deinstall the game, you can deactivate before. Than you don`t lose the key.
You can also copy the unchanged installed folder everytime to install a DB. Than you always have a clean, activated copy on your hard drive.
In worst case, just write a mail to focus and they will give you more activations.
I had to do that last year, they didn't give me anymore codes.. thats weird
they gave me new codes last year when i asked them. even as recently as 2 months ago
i just mailed the retailer i got it from (nexway in pcm 2010)

I also got some new codes by NExway.
Although it took quite a long while as I might be the first ever with this problem and PCM10.
Nobody knew, who is responsible and I was asked to send an email from one to another email. |

I just played the best PCM race ever!
It was Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne in a season with the small belgian team of willems Vernanda's.
I trained all my riders to be in good condition as this race was a sponsor goal (top-10).
In the last KM, the pack is all together with sprinters like Boonen etc. still in the pack. I decided to try and sprint for top-10 with my rider 'Vanlandschoot" who has 72 for sprinting. 2 other riders would lead out the sprint.
At 1 KM my sprinter goes behind the back of the leadout, at the same moment I see the good sprinters coming from behind. However the lead out team mate, blocks the path of the other sprinters, They can't pass the team mate rolling back while my sprinter goes for the first victory of my team!
Nice! |

Just quickly played through the Gardeccia stage with Saxo Bank. Not a lot immediately different from 2010, apart from the attacking, better gaps and not riding through cyclists.
At first glance it has improved. Menus generally look better too. |

My only complaint so far is that there are massive time gaps on mountain stages, the top ten are often separated by 5-10 minutes
Well it will always be that way or the other way
This way: great gameplay, loads of fun, but big timegaps
Other way: boring stages, boring gameplay, big groups in mountains, but realistic timegaps
With a 1/10 scale it will NEVER be perfect. Realise that. Choices...choices...
Also, how much difference kontadoor won giro? was pretty big gaps he had |

How big are the gaps here? How much do you tihnk it could be after a 21-day tour?
In PCM'10 you could win a GT with more then 10 minutes easily, are we talking half an hour here or something? |

Really awesome stage I just played :
Tour de Langkawi first stage : flat
I am with Team Europcar Seb. Chavanel is my sprinter with Gène to lead. Swift, Kittel and Cardoso are favourites...
Quite classic stage a breakaway caught 15kms from the finish, but 7kms from the finish line, when trains are being made, very sharp corner and massiv crash including Ben Swift and more than 20 riders down. Most riders behind couldn't pass easily they had to go round, and a group of 20 riders are left in front for the win (there is no more peloton just groupes of 10 to 30 riders following each other)
3 of my riders are in these 20, Chavanel is the best sprinter left perfect lead out by Gène and easy and unexpected victory for Chavanel in front of Karl Menzies.
What I really loved was the panic in the peloton after the crash and little groupes being formed spaced by 20-40 secs, very realistic!
Team Europcar !!
RIP Wouter

There are pics of crashes in the Cyanide PCM Forum, and the riders still ride over them.

Just had a similar thing happen to me at the Vattenfall Classics, Greipel crashed with 15km to go and blocked the whole peloton. Some of the riders kind of rode over the ones that had fallen, others just fell, too. Anyway, it was my first attempt at a sprint, and it was so much more realistic than previous PCM editions. I'm not sure where I finished, but it wasn't anywhere near the front as I was following Gilbert and then Boonen with about 10 other sprinters shot past on the right with 1.5km to go and I had no chance to catch up. |

well in my case there were riders on the flore everywhere so riders slowed down and seemed to try to go between riders on the ground, but they did ride on some of them... but it isn't as if they just sprinted on them, they couldn't.

Do I get a prize for stumping the Technical Support guy I;ve been emailing with? I think my problem is hopeless and I will never be able to play PCM, and he obviously thinks so too. I've only ever opened the game once but it seemed to be random.
Please tell me I get a prize.

With any luck, the prize will be a working game!

I think in a real world race, he would have been disqualified I guess. But that wouldn't affect my rider winning the race as he did nothing wrong (see last year's tour de france where Renshaw gets DQ but Cavendish still holds the victory).
Anayway, my point is that the sprinting is totally different now the riders can't pass trough each othre anymore. |
