HALFORDS TOUR SERIES - ROUND 2
Clancy/Rapha Condor attacked first and has managed to drag Opie/Team UK Youth, McGowan/Metaltek, Holohan/Madison Genesis, Blain/Team Raleigh and Williams/IG Sigma Sport along with him
Team Novo Nordisk have gathered at the front of the peleton to try and organise a chase
The originator of the move Clancy has unfortunately punctured and gone back into the peleton
Grivell-Mellor/Rapha Condor, Lampier/Node4 Giordana and King/MG Maxifuel are trying to make there way across to the leaders
The five riders up the road continue to force the pace
The trio continue with there chase despite not eing able to bridge the gap
Inside the last twenty kilometres for our leaders
Team Sky have now come to the front to help out Team Novo Nordisk
McGowan has dropped his fellow escapees and decided to go it alone
His effort is short lived as they all come back together at the red kite
And its Williams who is victorious at the line

The guys worked really hard throughout the race at the head of the peleton but when no one else is willing to help out its a bit dis-heartening |

A minor disappointment at the speedway and just horrible luck in Durham with Sky not doing enough to help in the chase. Hoping Novo's luck can turn around soon

TEXAS REVOLUTION - ROUND 3
Refugio Criterium – 55.1km
THE RACE
Mancebo/5 Hour Energy, Wren/Jamis-Hagens Berman and J.Sagan/Cannondale are the first break of the day
They have a lead of 1m 20s
Ilesic/Team Novo Nordisk is chasing them down
He has made it across the gap to the front group and was also joined by Durrin/Team Optum
With a lead of over five minutes the winner is definitely going to come from this break
Cat and Mouse tactics are beginning to play a part as no rider wants to take the lead
And here we go, who is going to be victorious today
It's Ilesic/Team Novo Nordisk who showed he was the strongest in the sprint for the line
1 | Aldo Ino Ilesic | Team Novo Nordisk | 1h16'02 | 2 | Juraj Sagan | Cannondale Pro Cycling | s.t. | 3 | Tyler Wren | Jamis - Hagens Berman | s.t. | 4 | Francisco Mancebo | 5-Hour Energy | s.t. | 5 | Jeremy Durrin | Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies | s.t. | 6 | Fumiyuki Beppu | Orica - GreenEdge | + 8'03 | 7 | Lucas Sebastián Haedo | Cannondale Pro Cycling | s.t. | 8 | Michel Kreder | Garmin - Sharp | s.t. | 9 | Leigh Howard | Orica - GreenEdge | s.t. | 10 | Jure Kocjan | Team Novo Nordisk | s.t. |
Spoiler 11 | Wesley Sulzberger | Orica - GreenEdge | s.t. | 12 | Daniel Reyes | Team Novo Nordisk | s.t. | 13 | Stephen Cummings | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 14 | Alexander Efimkin | Team Novo Nordisk | s.t. | 15 | Dominik Nerz | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 16 | Jens Debusschere | Lotto Belisol | s.t. | 17 | Hilton Clarke | UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team | s.t. | 18 | Alex Howes | Garmin - Sharp | s.t. | 19 | Christopher Jones | UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team | s.t. |
Team Novo Nordisk
Now that is what you call a great show, Ilesic not only rode alone to catch the leaders but still had enough in the tank to grab the win |

The amount of posts and races is unreal by now, just like your will and endurance to keep writing it. Congratulations to the Team Story of the year award (and Member of the year award too). Both is much, much deserved!
You should treat yourself with signing Geraint to Novo Nordisk.

Durham didn't go as planned but I laughed at the Team Sky fail in the standings... Great win in Revolution!

TOUR OF JAPAN
Stage 1 – Sakai (ITT) – 2.8km
Our first rider to finish the short TT was Martijn Verschoor and he did it in 3m 42s to end the day in 41st position
Next was Oleksandr Sheydyk of ISD Continental Team who would fare slightly better with 3m 34s
We thought a short TT would suit the strength of Serebryakov, sadly we were wrong and he would end the day in 60th place
Home favourite Masahiro Shinagawa of the Aisan Racing Team would also disappoint
Irishman Matthew Brammeier of Champion System Pro Cycling Team would put in a decent effort
Then Domingos Gonçalves of Rádio Popular - Onda would storm around in 3m 25s to become the new leader
Carlos Oyarzun of Action Cycling Team then goes better again
The penultimate rider is Damien Monier of Bridgestone - Anchor
And the last is Vitaliy Popkov of ISD Continental Team, but can either of them pull off the win

Ian Butler - Yes indeed but at least the time gaps were small
Kiserlovski01 - 18s means we are still challengers |
