OZrocker - He is our only hope in this race so we will have to keep him safe
the_hoyle - If he stays in that top five then we will be very happy |

Scattershot Will - Totally agree, a top five will be really nice considering how disappointing the race has been for us |

AMGEN TOUR OF CALIFORNIA
Stage 8 – Beverley Hills – Los Angeles – 74.3km
The first rider to stretch his legs today is Martz/Hincapie Sportswear
It wasn't long before he was joined by Selander/Team Optum and Berry/Chipotle First Solar
Before long we had a lead group of eight riders with a lead of 2m 47s, the additions were Tvetcov/Team Exergy, Lindgren/Competitive Cyclist, Brown/Bontrager, Day/UnitedHealthcare and Magnell/Bear Development
Garmin-Sharp and Jamis Hagens were trying to organise some sort of chase at the front of the pack
A minute has been cut from their advantage
Its still the same two teams chasing from behind
Lindgren gives it one last push as the peleton finally closes in on there prey
Bowden/Team Novo Nordisk has managed to force his way to the front of the race
Phinney/BMC Racing launches himself in to the final kilometre, can he hold on
The answer to that is NO as Viviani/Cannondale powers past to grab the final stage from Farrar/Garmin-Sharp

Tyler Farrar - Garmin - Sharp
Fred Rodriguez - Team Exergy
Tejay Van Garderen - Team Novo Nordisk
Garmin - Sharp
Overall it was a very disappointing race for us with just Tejay Van Garderen having a little bit of success with Winning the Best Young Rider Classification |

Well done to Tejay, not an easy race but he was admirably tough against the big teams. A good chance for Gary to improve on his 5th place last year in Lincoln

OZrocker - Tejay battled hard so it was good to get fourth and Gary has been training on the Lincoln course and so fancies his chances (fingers crossed) |

LINCOLN GRAND PRIX
Lincoln – Lincoln – 162km
Six riders went on the attack within a kilometre of the race start and have built up a lead of over five minutes, they are Sutton/Team Novo Nordisk, Greenwood/Hope Factory Racing, Northey/Node4 Giordana, Holmes/Team Raleigh, Murray/Metaltek and Whorrall/IG Sigma Sport
There is no organised chase from the peleton as yet
Our leaders continue to share the workload
The race is beginning fracture in to many groups and the peleton is now only nineteen riders strong
McNally/An Post has managed to bridge the gap to our leaders and goes straight to the front to force the pace
As the reduced peleton makes contact Sutton decides its time to go it alone
Five riders are giving chase
He approaches the red kite with 1m 21s over the chasers
And he does it what a Great solo win for the Welshman
