Ah, the randomness of TTs. Lasse Norman 21st, amazing result.

Nathan Brown 6th, damn, I thought I had him but then mighty Argos came along and outbid me! For a pot 4 rider, who knew they would stoop so low? Smile

You know, we've had a pretty bad year, but the team has come out to play for our focus races, which is huge. Dunkerque was our second, and we brought both Langlois and Lavery so we could compete no matter the selectivity.

Langlois put in a great performance. I was a little scared after the first two stages, but that stage win on stage 3 cleared everything up. So exciting to see! Hopefulyl he has plenty of years of winning for us in his legs.

It's great to be getting guys in the break too, and sometimes it works! McKenzie taking second was cool to see since our talents normally aren't very useful and don't get much airtime. And Ramirez was really cheeky to get 6th from the bunch too, not sure how he pulled it off. Even our U23 guys, generally being useless, got in a break.

Then Xavier with another podium on stage 5 to cap it all off. His top end speed can be spotty, but two podiums and 4 top 10's works for me.

Sad to just barely miss out on the GC podium, but 4th is a good result in my book with how things have generally gone. Plus 3rd in points for good measure. Lavery stuck around even though the race wasn't super selective and gets 11th too.

Between them and our breakaway day, that won us the team classification! Great to see and totally unexpected.

Not sure how these results will be calculated as successful as a focus race for budget purposes, but I'm satisfied regardless.

seems that cobbles didn't make any difference at Dunkirk...that's a mess for our team and any other who was aiming for hard race (I'm thinking in particular to VIP mobile and Sénéchal). I feel lucky in not having brought Phinney to waste important race days...

Good thing it wasn't our focus race... Oh wait it was

Well at least we're done with them now so it can't get any worse Pfft

I really feel sorry for you...I know how frustrating is to build a cobblers team and than discovering that this doesn't make any difference in one of the few dedicated races.
I was quite sure to see my minor leaders fighting for a podium spot behind Senechal there...in the end it was nothing close to it.

Now I'm looking forward to De Panne, where Phinney is listed and it's a focus race.

Jungels performed nicely at Trofeo Campania with a 9th place, around where he could be expected I think. But give us the rest of the Ardennes please. Pfft

Thank you @dominox for the reports!

Stage win and 2nd overall at Dunkerque is a blast for our team. It seems we are thriving in France with 2 very good results at Critérium International and Dunkerque. Well, the first season is not as painful as expected to be. The task of solidly developing the team is made easier by such results.

Need to wait for Bikex to post results, I don't know when he will tho.

Later today Pfft

About Dunkerque. I wasn't actually very surprised there wasn't any selection basically. When you play a lot of PCM you kinda know which amount of cobbles can be selective. This profile clearly wasn't Grin.

Certainly a weird, but ultimately very successful Dunkerque for Bosch!

Fabian Schnaidt appears to be on a roll after his Crit. International win, adding another one on the final stage here as well as another podium, a 5th and a 6th place.
With the surprisingly unselective cobbles, this race turned from a "let's see what Adams does and add some points from Schnaidt" race to a full-blown GC race for our sprinter.

And despite our cobblers certainly underperforming on stages 3 and 4, Adams went for the strange approach of going into breaks as our best cobbler and actually had that pay off for him in a way, with tied 3rd in the KoM and still 4th in the U25 for a good points haul that hopefully adds development points.

So overall, a stage win and Top 4 performances in GC, points, KoM and U25 should give us just upwards of 200 points from this race, a brilliant effort from the team that sets us up nicely for the upcoming block of 8 races of which 5 are Herklotz races!

Great win in Amstel for Yates Grin Great to see the WC jersey winning!

Our best ever result in Campania as well, albeit still not in the Top 10.

Not that good in the U23s in Recioto and LBL juniors.

Oh yes. So my 79 and 74 TT guys finished just 8 places apart. Happy for Nemec's 23rd but Mullen's 15th more than offsets any benefit rom that, I think it would have be better, point-wise, if the overperformance would have been with the guy where it could have meant a win and not 23rd. Team clearly feeling the pressure right now.

(I think this is another area where the more recent version AI is better - TTs a little less randomized)

If we stick to PCM15 then it could be an option to just quicksim time trials.

Last Ardennes races are up. Last race of April is De Panne, but we gotta wait for Bikex with this Grin

Spoiler
Probably one of the most underwhelming and passive Ardennes in history. Amstel hadn't had action basically until last 2 kms where there were still a lot of riders in first group. A bit of selection in Fleche Wallonne but only due to last climb. Almost a breakaway win here. It was that boring. But, breakaway rider winning in Liege because no one wanted to chase. Literally no one. If Fleche would have a bit more flat terrain before finish, Gustavo Martin from Santos would win it, like Roux in Liege.

baseballlover312
Clearly Martin's Ardennes chances were nonexistent this year, but I think he should have been capable of more than whatever that effort was.

crazy way to win a monument

Vali
We didn't get the win we secretly hoped for in this Ardennes campaign, but looking at riders like Kwiatkowski, we can be pretty happy with 5th, 7th and 3rd I think. We also got some nice backup points in Fleche, but unfortunately none in the other races, where I would have hoped for a bit more from my guys. And yeah, I don't think Argos needed some extra breakaway luck, but congrats anyway Croatia. Pfft

Thanks for these results dominox!

Big one from Roux when Mohoric didn't live up to the expectations in the Ardennes. Awesome win! We brought him in to be a depth scorer and Mohoric "leadout" as kinda a jack of all trades, and this win makes it worth all. What a day for us!

Wow a guy with Hill 73 winning from the break is quite unheard of, gratz to Grupo. Is this actually Grupo's first monument win? Rather odd lol Similarly Gustavo Martin with HL 73 finishing 2nd in Fleche, however this race has had the break be part of the Top 10 in the past, so not that much of a upset.

Too bad that the ardennes races were so boring and uneventful. Bikex and I always had some good racing, hopefully it's a one time thing. I would hate to see the Ardennes becoming as stale and as boring as they have been a couple of years back in the heyday of Valverde and Gerrans.

Amazing results for the breakaway riders. Maybe Sagan would have preferred a harder race for the Fleche Wallone (13th), but it helped him in LBL (11th), another really good result from him.
