My Giro is also done. I'll probably never have good GT.
Hirt - thought he might be better. There are still 2 weeks but how many points he can score? Probably - as I know my Velo history - 0
Monfort, Cataldo - they are doing just what I expected
Sbaragli - decent
Nibali and Yates - might been a mistake
Pinot - is doing fine
Kruijswijk - meh...
Formolo - just what I expected |

We're talking about bad Giro teams?!
Nibali - Still think he will do well in the final week
Yates -
Jungels - Doing brilliantly as expected
Zakarin - Could turn out ok, for now not amazing.
Nizzolo - Was lingering between him and Gaviria but thought there was no way he wouldn't pick up a ton of second places.
Dennis -
Haas - Ok, I knew I should've pick up somebody from Astana instead and I knew that at the time
Foliforov - Waiting for the third week on him but low expectations really
TVG - Was a risk, which isn't going great

For me:
Mochema: Decent
Kruijswijk: Meh so far
Formolo: Quite alright for an 8 point investment
Pozzovivo: Good so far
Modolo: Quite disappointing for me
Carthy: Should try to go on attacks a bit more
Kangert: Starting to get better, good hope
Konrad: Doesn't quite seem to have it unfortunately
Nibali: Also a bit disappointing
Unless Quintana, Dumoulin and Pinot fail terribly I won't stand any chance whatsoever.

Well I pick Kennaugh and Boswell in California thinking Kennaugh would lead and Boswell would pick up points as a helper.
Looks as though the plan might work but the opposite way round

And I was banking on Skujins, which looked good at first.
Then he got a bit dizzy
Really nasty crash indeed and I guess he had some troubles sleeping.

Having Huffman and Mannion scoring in the break on stage 4 in Cali gave me a nice boost but I doubt I can beat MWK or Tamijo unless Huffman can put in a big TT performance.
My Giro team is just plain awful

Hi all
Just realised that as I'm away from work next week, and the following Monday is a bank holiday in the UK, I won't be able to update the results of California or the Giro until the following Tuesday at the earliest. I'll try to get it do ASAP upon my return.
Cheers

Hope you have a nice break from work Ringo
My Giro team won't be troubling you on your return but California is looking good, 2nd with the TT left

Giro: Overall Rank: 11282 of 17225 - <irony mode on> Great! <irony mode off>. But 8 of my 9 riders are in top 20 GC so at least this went good.
California: Overall Rank: 440 of 2892 (before giving points for GC) - Yet this happen with only 6 riders scoring points, as other 3 scored legendary 60 points together. Also, got 1st, 4th and 5th with only 3 riders for GC. Oh irony... |

I'm taking back everything I said about Dumoulin vs. Thomas earlier, he's really doing his best to give me something from this Giro
Considering California, it feels like I probably lost our league win with that final breakaway, with Huffman, Britton and Morton all scoring well from it. Had Sagan, Degenkolb and Restrepo in the sprint for sixth, as well as 2-3-4-5 in the GC, + Jaramillo's KOM points. But still very happy with my California team, quite a bit of luck seeing the "bonus points" Jaramillo and Mannion gave. |

Victory in California!
Having Bennett in my team, was the key for the win. |

You know your Giro team is struggling when Bob Jungels is your best sprinter
Congrats to cano for the California win, happy with 7th to break my duck in stage races this year.

Congrats Cano! California raced hard for once so not enough bunch sprints for my sprinter heavy team. Also left out Sagan for once too...silly, silly, silly.
Nice to have one good day in the Giro with an unlikely 1-5 on that last "breakaway" stage. Anyone not picking Gaviria needs all the help they can get!

Will lose my good spot in Giro after losing my 2nd rider with Kangert.
Darn was going fine.
