You have to hand it to Horner, he has been getting away with it for some time and just wants to show how easy it is to get away with it when so blatantly cheating. Maybe he really digs Cookson and wants this to embarrass McQauid Angry

No. USADA tough are looking dumbasses. They went all deep to uncover Armstrong with Horner involved btw and now this appears and they haven't even said nothing.

To give USADA credit they got more than Armstrong with that investigation, I do agree its a fail that Horner wasn't named as rider 15

From Cyclingnews' forum, this is what a "normal" Horner's values in the 2009-Giro looked like, retics and hgb:

4/30; 5/7; 5/18;
0.68%; 1.01%; 0.75%
15.5; 14.6; 14.2 g/dL

His hgb drops and his retics are considerably higher than the Vuelta, as if the body was actually trying to recuperate from the loss of red blood cells. Compare that to the Vuelta-numbers, his retics falling/stagnating and his hgb rising. Again, during a GT.
Never.

T. Martin wanted after the world championships start to lose weight so he can prepare to become a stage racer competing for the Tour GC.

After his WC ITT win he scrapped that plan basically saying something like: "If you are somewhere the best then you should stay there."
His biggest goal is now Rio 2016 as he hasn't an olympic individual time trial win.

Good thing he scratched that. It would never work out. He showed some promise in mountains but not a real GC threat. Unless Sky have an open position.

Ok, sorry. The files didn't load up properly before, so i clicked just 2 or 3 every year to see if there is consistence. In hgb there pretty much is, until the Vuelta, which i couldn't open before. The sudden hgb rise is suspicious. But overall his blood profile doesn't look like a mountain stage. Kohls, if i remember correctly, looked way worse. But nevertheless, Horner doped!!!!111!!!!eleven!!!!! Pfft

Horner, the troll.
I'll be back

You know one potentially good thing out of the Horner thing - he dominated even at the age of 42 when blood doped. Suggests others may not be cheating as much...hopefully, maybe, possibly.

As for the reasons for publishing the data - two fingers up at the system or cry for help (as in seriously someone stop me doing this crap)?!

Tirreno will go over 'steepest climb in Italy' next year. 800 metres at 25%

Couldn't make it up - Pat's mates not allowed to count the votes and a quote from Wiggins at the end on the likely outcome...

Overall disappointing route. Clearly lacks a hilly stage, and also the typical very long sprint stage.

Team Stölting wants to go ProConti 2015, a very expectable step as Herklotz would certainly have not prolonged his contract until then otherwise.

This Election stuff is just totally awesome. I don't think you could even write comedy this good.

As mentioned a few post ups, Cookson managed to put a stop to McQuaid's, I'll just get my mates to count the votes plan.

And also, a letter from the St Lucian Cycling head (You know, that massive cycling nation. Do they even have a pro cyclist?) is maybe the best thing I've read all week.

https://www.cyclin...on-tactics
Article and the whole letter is there. The best bits though?

"Prime Minister Winston Churchill won us the Second World War but Britain voted him out of office immediately after the war." - Seriously, thats how the letter opens. Its that random.

"So never mind that Pat McQuaid is Cycling's undisputed champion of the anti-doping cause" - Possibly the loosest use of the word undisputed I've ever seen.

"Cookson is using the argument that we must follow rules, and we agree. In fact, those same rules give us the right to change them and Cookson and his camp cannot deny us this right" - Translated: We can make rules up as we go to suit.

Theres a great rant about Apartied too, but theres not really one section I can really quote. USADA obviously tried to cover up Lance's doping from Pat.

In all, its a pretty hillarious read if you've got ten minutes to kill XD

Pure comedy, although he does have a point about the globalization of cycling and the European overrepresentation.

And that he's from a small cycling country shouldn't matter, they have the right to voice their opinions just like Belgians or Italians. Otherwise, just give all the power to the Spanish Federation, cause Spanish cyclists are dominating the sport for years, so the rest should be quite irrelevant in comparison.

Now that would be a terrible idea, given that the president of the RFEC is the guy who brought Contador his infamous steak (no kidding). Pfft

Why can't we bet on the outcome of that election in the fantasy betting ? Shock

(Not that I'd win it anyway, I'm totally broke since Wiggins lost me my very last PCM$.)
