It was a normal flat stage until OPQS attacked and caused echelons. Afterwards, Valverde had a flat tyre, and Belkin, which was already helping OPQS) upped the pace and definitely broke the race. The finally Saxo attacked, and splitted the front group, leaving Froome behind.

You mean Contador instead of Andy, right?
No, I mean what actually happened. Andy and Cancellara gaining two minutes in the first week attacking after his brother crashed Contador. 24 hours after Andy was 8 minutes down and the peloton stopped to wait for him.

No worries for the dawg. He'll soon realise that his domestiques are just holding him back and drop the entire group, rejoin the leaders and attack again to win the stage solo.

Andy gained far more doing it on the cobbles earlier in the race.
In fairness a crash on cobbles is as much of cycling as echelons and sprinting. His brother went down and hr followed Spartacus all the way in a moslty elite group.
However Contador attacked him, when hd was in yellow, because he had a mechanical. That is worse, no discussion

OPQS start to from an echelon: Kittel drops
Valverde has a flat
OPQS and Belkin continue to ride, he loses multiple minutes.
Saxo stay calm untill 30 to go and then drop Froome

I agree that it's not very gentlemanly of Belkin. But I don't get the extreme hate. This is part of cycling;
No it's not. Not even close. Dropping someone on an echelon like you're seeing now is part of Cycling.
Attacking someone when they've had a mechanical is something I've only ever seen Andy Schleck, Cancellara and Sky do.
What Belkin did was a mix of both. They were already trying to form echelons together with Quickstep when Valverde punctured.
After he did they increased their pace, which is indeed not cool. But they didn't start pacing out of nowhere.

This is amazing, go Saxo train!
And yes, Bennati, Contador, Kreuziger, Rogers, Tosatto and Roche are all there. Sagan, Bodnar, Fuglsang, Ten Dam, Mollema, Cavendish, Chavanel and Terprstra. That's the group.
