This looks awesome.
Love all the small self made villages. Great work.
Is the Cauberg "faked", to make it longer and so more realistic in terms of results? It looks like this as my Cauberg was never that long iirc.
And did you use any narrow roads? I looks like this on the picture with the bridge. But on the other climbs it seems to be level 2.

Pelli, you are a freak! In a positive way Agree with roturn that this villages and landscapes look awesome. Of course the route is most important, but I guess we all know, that you're work is great there.
So: thumbs up!

If Pelli doesn't Zabel me : Cauberg is faked indeed. It's the same as his 2012 version of the AGR, which also had a Cauberg faked. I just love this Cauberg, it's so much fun to play
No narrow roads. Only the beginning of the bridge road has narrow roads, because there's no space for the bridge road to come from.
On the stage, great screens It looks like AGR will keep being my favorite classic to play in PCM. Again, nice job and, hm.. thanks for sharing?

lluiiggii nicely summed up what I was going to respond, so all I can say is: thanks!
And just for future reference, I never use narrow roads. Even if it's a really small road irl. Not worth ruining the gameplay just to make it look more realistic, imo.

I haven`t expected anything else.
Just asked as I saw this narrow road at the bridge.

Just played it as well. Awesome.
I don`t wanna know how many fields, houses, forests etc. are on the map. No matter where you are. When checking a 360° view you see at least 6-7 villages and 10 more in the far background.
I also like the idea of making everything level 3 width and many climbs level 2 instead of the old 2-1 system. So you avoid the narrow roads and still get a realistic feeling.
Definitely the best stage I have ever played. No question this years award was fully deserved.
Love how you go up the Cauberg in the end and the best riders destroy the peloton when going 100% to battle it out on their own.

Thanks a lot, roturn!
Here's something I started working on a while ago, but never finished and uploaded back then.
It's the stages following the opening TTT in Venezia from the '09 Giro. Remembering that edition as a great race and having enjoyed creating the TTT, I decided to start working on the stages following it too.

So your going to do the 2009 Giro? Cool. Great looking stages and that stage 4 should be fun to play. |

Stages looking great, as ever. Is it possible to fit the 2012 Worlds route into your Amstel Gold file? Always seemed a shame that PCM12 gives the current version of that route a flat rating, considering it was a race won by Gilbert

How do make stages like AGR? I haven't been able to play it yet but the screens look absolutely amazing. The landscape, that Cauberg, all look fantastic. You should've been the world's architect |

I'll probably work on the other stages from time to time. How quickly it'll be done will depend on how much spare time I'll have. But yeah, I'll give it a shot.

That's a good idea. I'll have a look at it soon and see what I can do.

Not sure what you mean, tbh. It's a stage like any other, just a bit longer.

Turned out to be an easy thing to change, hence the quick work.

It will be interesting to play this I think. Not sure if it is very realistic as well due to the longer climbs. I doubt that riders like Degenkolb, who did well in the Worlds will have chances here. |

Gotta partially agree here. In AGR, there's the Cauberg only 3 times, so it doesn't change much in terms of hardness. But here with it a lot of times, it might have some more effect. Then again, lowering the Cauberg might turn the race back to a flat one, which is exactly the opposite point of this version. Anyway, I'll certainly be giving it a try

That might be true, but on the other hand I'm not sure that Degenkolb, Davis, etc... would've been able to compete for the medals if the puncheurs hadn't waited all the way to the final climb before attacking.
I don't think it's possible to have a race that suits both riders like Gilbert / Purito and also tough sprinters like Degenkolb / Davis / EBH in PCM. At least now you have the opportunity to choose whether you want a puncheur or a sprinter winning, by playing either this version or Cyanide's.

True point. And I never had a doubt that this version would be better in general. |

Just played it, very fun as well But you've used the "old" .zcts file, so there's no Cauberg bridge and the flat after it is 2% flat Anyway, it wasn't such a hard race for the sprinters, although I tried to make it with Katusha. Ballan was 7th, Sagan 10th, EBH 11th, Boonen 15th. But probably most of these guys have a fitness bonus in April in single races (I played it as a variant of AGR) so it wasn't really normal conditions. Then again, I did try to push the pace in the Cauberg, which the AI probably doesn't do. Then Purito and Gilbert crushed everyone in the final ascent and Purito won
