No one is justifying the violent protesters.....
I suppose you think Trayvon Martin should have justice and that Casey Anthony killed her children?

I actually 100% agree with the decision made, and I am 100% against the protests, as they are doing nothing and will get everyone nowhere. Not to mention they are causing thousands of dollars in damage for no reason at all. Even the young mans parents have expressed, along with President Obama, that there should ONLY be peaceful protests.
I there were only peaceful protest in the history, USA would never exist at the first place, are you aware of that?
Also, ACAB.

Quite frankly, the protestors are completely justified. Not specifically because of Michael Brown, but because of ridiculous incidents such as Cleveland Police shooting dead an 11 year old black boy who was holding a fake gun. What's more, this could have been stopped quite easily if the gun control laws Obama wanted after Sandy Hook were put through.

So, in an attempt to change the topic:
Two exchange students from Australia are in our class now, and they confirmed my suspicions about spiders: That they are fucking everywhere, and that it's the little ones that'll wipe you out. Also, Australia seems to be reeeaaally expensive, never knew that.
(They're from Sydney, maybe spiders are just particularly nasty bastards there. )
Keep in mind, us Aussies usually love to exaggerate, especially how dangerous things are over here. There's probably some truth to it though, but I've very rarely seen anything like that myself.
What isn't an exaggeration is that property prices are extremely expensive here. I was hearing just earlier today that the avg. house price in Mildura (a regional town 400km from the nearest capital city, population ~30,000) is the same as a major city in America. Can't remember which one, but it proves how ridiculous the whole thing is.

I love my driving teacher...
Yesterday, during my lesson in which I was quite nervous and distracted for some reason he promised me to look out for me on wierd roundabouts where cyclists have the right of way for no reason, only to hit a cyclist 20 seconds later
Nothing bad happened, it was even funny in a way

That's called learning it the hard way...
Had a similar situation while learning to drive.
European road at a crossing, one lane goes left the other right. I wanted to go right, which means I only had to watch the cars coming from left. So I assumed that I can drive when the car next to me is going left and therefore blocking the road. Half way on the road, I heard a shout and gone was my left side mirror. The guy was on a motorbike swerving around the other car and obviously not expecting my car. |

I think there is spam here for a reason. There really is a topic for just about everything. If we can't have the Ferguson convo here, which really isn't a difficult topic at all, then what really IS appropriate talk for this thread?

The general consensus is that talks about events irl is most acceptable here. After all, it is a cafe!

I wasn't talking to you about the spam to begin with anyway I don't know how you got to that conclusion
Anyway I meant to say personal irl events. Not like "I don't have much to contribute here, so I'm going to post anyway" cough trekbmc...

That wasn't spam, I was just making my point (which, in a way, is spam. ) anyway, I managed to start this conversation by posting that.
