My only complaint so far is that there are massive time gaps on mountain stages, the top ten are often separated by 5-10 minutes
Well it will always be that way or the other way
This way: great gameplay, loads of fun, but big timegaps
Other way: boring stages, boring gameplay, big groups in mountains, but realistic timegaps
With a 1/10 scale it will NEVER be perfect. Realise that. Choices...choices...
I've thought about it, and realsied that with the original db the stats are so weird that results are impossible to judge.
i already had plenty of extra time to play with it and it's not the stats that cause this
But if you want to go back to the big mountain groups going up and having realistic time gaps with it, then go play '10

I much prefer this to 2010, just seemed the gaps were too large.
Minor complaints should still be voiced, even if they are minor

Well I have a negative point: it seems like the big tour rotation has been disabled AGAIN. What the hell? Why do they disable it everytime they release the game? I started the game on vanilla and am now playing on the patched version (but didn't restart the game).
Also, I wonder, is it still possible to change teams? Or did they remove that feature to re-introduce it sometime and announce it as a new feature?
Apart from that all, I think the game is good (not great, as I think there haven't been enough changes, they definitely need to completely re-work the management part of the game).
Don't want to sound like a pain in the ass, but that's just how it feels to me. Though I'm still happy that I bought it, as I'll be playing for hours on it again.

Hi all,
can anybody be so kind to explain me how to change database? I do it exactly like with PCM 10, but changes are not applied.
Please help me!
You have to put the database file into MyDocs/ PCM2011/Users/(your user name)/database.
and it should be alright
Thanks for letting me know CrueTrue, I take back my words on that implementing and re-introducing it then. But I still feel that they could've done a little more for the gameplay side of the game. There are still so many annoying things that aren't hard to change. I hope that next season they're going to make a nicer GUI (they just need to look at Football Manager and they'd have a good one) and add lots of new gameplay features, the 3D should be good for 2 seasons now IMO.
Would that pack still work if I added it now to my game? Or would I have to restart my career?

Is anyone else getting crashes on the ITT World Champs as well (in 3D). Could it be because it has 3 intermediate time checks? (the game/UI still supports only 2). Also no riders have helmets and most riders do not have wheels in the WCs

Looking forward to getting my copy (hopefully today in the mail)
Can anyone tell me wether it´s now possible to create gaps on mountain stages when you attack?
I know it won´t work unless you have a decent rider with mountain skills and a good acceleration, and the group of favorites isn´t pulled by say Navarro to keep up the pace for Contador.
It´s just that in 2010 attacks on climbs wasn´t worth the while, as you could easily eliminate them by dotting and pulling up your effort ?
Secondly, could anyone please post a list of say the 20-25 best mountain riders from the default db.... just curious as to see how they´ve done it this year...
Found another 'problem' in carreer mode - some riders (with great/good results) are not finding a new contract and become Free Riders in the 2012 season (they are not retiring, obviously):

Oh, only one sponsor was replaced - Cannondale was replaced by SplitSe as co-sponsor of Liquigas
How did it happen. Did you just get a mail where it said so? And what does the new jersey look like?
Yeah, in the beginning of the season (February - April) you get mails from various teams about their future (like "SponsorX has decided to re-sign with TeamY"; "SponsorB has decided to quit sponsoring TeamA, so the team manager will have to find a new (co-)sponsor", SponsorG has decided to stop sponsoring TeamA, so SponsorD will take up the head sponsorship", etc.)
As for the jersey, for some reason it (and the minimaillot) have not changed - it's still identical to 2011 (and has Cannondale on it). Maybe it only changes when the head sponsor quits?

Couldn't this be fixed by changing the hill/mountain ratio?
