Pathetic final by Dillier, didn't even try 1 attack.
Sagan raced like a champ tho, have to admit it.
Are you stupid? Did you see him on the bike? He was just hoping to not get dropped.

Track stand off for 4th after letting Terpstra go for podium sums this year edition up. |

Why would Dillier take the front right before the Velodrome. What was that???
Great win for Sagan. Really well deserved. He needed to force the issue and he did just that. Nobody could match him.

This
Great ride by Niki again. Very strong. Unfortunately they gave it away when Sagan suddenly had 1 1/2 minute lead. I think too many freeloaders in that big group caused disruption.

Maybe sagan and Dillier made an agreement
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Awesome by Dillier!
Terpstra was the strongest (well, 2nd behind a certain Swiss rider), but Quickstep really stuffed up their tactics, Gilbert and Stybar went way too early and then they just let Sagan ride off, not so smart as they blew their whole numbers advantage but still had the onus to work put on them by other teams.

You know that that is a viable tactic, since the other guy needs to pass you first?

Sagan did not even looked super tired during interview, i think he had something left after such a race situation.

Easy to complain about Quick Step but they still have someone on the podium. Far worse cobbles campaign for BMC, Trek and EF. That said, Quick Step read too many forum and newspapers, bought into the hype and thought they were unbeatable.

Impressive performance by Sagan and Dillier but oh boy, I was really missing the tension for the biggest one-day race of the year. It was basically decided with 30k-40kk out. Very disappointing by the competition, especially Greg tbh.
