- So far all points scored in the Giro (but the opening win for Dumoulin) were by league riders.
This season really is nice towards the league with the top riders being challenged a lot.
Wonder if we will see this in the end of the year with a bigger total score.
- Sarreau had 262 points last year and had the very same amount of points in the Post-April Ranking! Great pick for Nico Virenque as he just passed that amount by winning hte Dunkerque opener. 5 Stage Wins already this season, rather impressive.
Personally...with 9 riders and rather good ones, I am still sitting at 0 points, which I hope will change soon.
Regarding California startlist...so far not a lot of teams are made public and as I am not at home from tomorrow until Sunday late, the "update" will come on Monday only, a day late.

Sean de Bie was one of the late changes on the startlist and he is not starting in Dunkerque...
And Siutsou is likely out for 3 months! Could be almost end of his season as form after those months is a huge questionmark.
At least Touze is doing well I guess.
Yeah, Siutsou is a big blow, one of my better late picks I thought and was really showing good form in Croatia, can only hope he has a good recovery and comes back for the Vuelta.
Dunkerque saw some great racing with Greipel being one of the main riders of the tour, winning a stage from a sprint and one from the breakaway with a solo in the end. Complete rider but it was "only" 2nd in the end, beaten by 1st by Claeys.
Hence big 183 points for NicoVirenque here and he adds more by Gougeard and Sarreau. In total 349 points for NV, which is massive for a HC event.
Following is jaxika with "just" 97 pts from Dupont and matt with 96 pts from mainly Meurisse while also dominox with 89 did okay due to Casper Pedersen.
Coquard with a up and down season so far at 66 pts for Aquarius.

Another Spanish continental race took place as well this week.
Marco`s Jaime Roson took the win and scores 115 points followed by Javier Moreno (NicoVirenque), who is having another good result this year.
Bravo (OZrocker) and Taaramae (jandal) also doing okay while roturn got points from the Spanish combination of Madrazo/Pardilla).
Slowly the Giro comes to the part, where the GC is forming.
It`s not Sky or Astana, who dominate. It`s Mitchelton Scott actually with both Simon Yates and Chaves on the podium! Hence good news for OZrocker and Aquarius as you don`t often have the chance to get a draftable rider onto a GT podium.
And in fact the actual Giro has so much more to offer for the league managers. Viviani in the sprints was already covered in the last update. Sam Bennett the other top performing sprinters here also added a win to his name.
Dennis, Battaglin another duo of 100+ scorers and stage winners!
Carapaz and Wellens also with a stage and first might actually become the winner of the white jersey and top10 in the GC?
Modolo could still go stronger with Marezco out of the race while Formolo, Woods, Pozzovivo, G.Bennett and M.A.Lopez all have chances for the top5-10 as also Bilbao. Lots of big points incoming with Ciccone as well being a must be named here.
That all said, I still feel like my team is heavily underperforming....

Lopez isn't looking as good as I thought, Haig is stuck in surprising GC duties (awesome that he has to sad that he can't win stages), but Henao now can win the KOM and 2 stages with a massive points haul, just like I predicted.
Already a day in with the sprinters showing up. Though here the startlist before the GC really decides.
33 League riders are here with ember and ivaneurope leading with 4 each. Most interesting name might be August Jensen for matt. The home rider that finished in the top5 of all 3 Norwegian stage races last year. Will be interesting how he can perform with a new team.

Neither 100% secured yet. Small starter field but with some potential. Canola, Lebas, Pernsteiner, Hucker, Bibby, Bole, Santaromita...some decent riders in a mainly CT field.
Just 2 riders in but jseadog with a dominant win. Having picked Bernal must have been THE pick of the season. No matter where, the young Colombian keeps scoring and is one of the very best in 2018 whenever it`s going uphill.
Van Garderen might not score a lot outside of the US but in his home races, he is very consistent and hence delivering Aquarius some solid points while Adam Yates continues the brother`s performances this season for jandal.
Then couple of very young scorers here with Gaviria (ivaneurope), Martinez (dominox), Geoghegan Hart (roturn) or Ewan (NV) while Majka for bbl312 also must be named.
ember with 4 riders and a total of 244 points takes the glory in the team ranking. Key was the dup Kamp and Hagen, who both scored well while Prades got the individual win for Tamijo.
Jules, Koch and ivaneurope`s trio also scored decent.

Without a real big favourite, the Tour de'l Ain was more open. In the end Vichot takes the win for ivaneurope ahead of Edet (matt) and Moreno (Taaramae) while Taaramae also scores well for jandal. Both him and ivaneurope had very good results this week by a quick look.
15 days in and hte battle Simon Yates vs. Dumoulin is coming to the extreme. The gap might be about what you can expect to be gained today in the ITT but there are 3 tough uphill mountain finishes left and hence the actual leader might stay favourite and can deliver OZrocker a huge points haul here as he already is at 510 for the Brit.
Sprinters Bennett and Viviani in a head to head for the runner up while Battaglin and Dennis follow.
Carapaz at the moment being the best young pro in the league but the jersey swapped and Angel Lopez is looking good to have a strong 3rd week Pozzovivo might not have scored a lot yet due to missing stage results but if he remains on the podium, this could be big points later on for bbl.
Hidden GC points as well are in sight for the ones of jandal for Bennett and ember for Bilbao.

Ah, we're crashing fast, not liking how this season is going for our team now, Nizzolo and Gallopin are failures and it's killing us.
Honestly, down to Terpstra and more importantly De Bie to use these small races to save us, I still hold out hope that De Bie could pull a massive season, we'll see.
