Robert Power strikes again. This time in an Italian 1.2 race.

Tour de l'Avenir complete startlist : https://www.tourde...uipes.html
So who are the main contenders? Vervaeke should be the favourite right? Herklotz is here as well and I see Norway have a very strong team with Eiking, Svendsen and Lunke. I'm also very curious to see what R.Power can do on longer climbs...
The Colombians weren't really impressive in GP Capodarco (M.A. Lopez was even dropped from the breakaway), maybe they need more time to adapt to european races.
Küng to win one stage and the prologue |

Yes but after a couple of these teams and riders popularity will grow, and the playing career will be interesneishee type as many commands as in this patch French Community Database - Spain 2014 v1.2 for 13 year only there data racers worse than your database.можно to make a couple of teams from those that I wrote earlier is not the whole League plus players PCM14 with America will be fun to play.. |

I think Magnus Cort will make a bigger splash this year. He is really sharp this season.
But i doubt he will be in play for the overall. Can you watch the race somewhere? |

Latour could be up there as well, possibly also Senni as one to watch. |

If it is 23 and younger it's a shame that so many of the big riders that age are too busy to ride.

Ah, Tour de L'Avenir. Love it.
I wasn't sure if Vervaeke was allowed to race(being at Lotto now), but appearently he is. Suppose you could say he's the favourite indeed, maybe along with Herklotz.
The Colombian team is very interesting indeed. Should be quite talented, but they might have trouble with racing in Europe.
Norway is strong. Russia too, actually. Can see Foliforov doing something.
Kazakhstan quite strong too, or potentially at least. Both Kozhatayev(4th in '13) and Maidos(12th in '13) already have proved themselves last year.
Missing Carthy(GB) and Mühlberger(Austria) here, both racing at USAPCC.
Curious to see how much Ewan will dominate here too. Curious about Cort too.
And to take over Alak's role: Curious about Benoot too.
Looking at the NL team, not really a big GC threat. Beckeringh maybe. Too mountainous for Oomen, I think. Teunissen however might be able to show some stuff, though likely not in the GC.

Is he called Tilegen Maidos or Maidos Tilegen? Hate those riders whos name have been written both ways and you don't know what is their first name and surname. Like Rohan Dennis (which were called Dennis Rohan in some races on norwegian Eurosport) and Songezo Jim/Jim Songezo.
That was off-topic, but I am still curious...
Back on track:
Norways team is mentioned as the best norwegian u-23 team ever. In Eiking, Svendsen and Lunke we have three of the strongest uphill riders in the peloton. Therefore the team have been built around them, and once again missing the Hoelgaards. They have never been part of the U-23 team, as the leaders want the same amount of riders each from the three best norwegian teams and then there is no place with 6 riders on the team.
I've also read earlier this year that Colombia wouldn't participate this year. Is this right, is there a start list around?

Did only have a look at the last post, hopeless

We weren't going to participate... some directives were messing around with our u-23 cycling... but in the end, as we got the spot in the race we kind of "have to" participate...
In past years, 4-72 Colombia team, was doing a nice work, winning with Quintana and Chaves, 2nd with Chamorro and 7nd with Parra... but the Cycling Federation here for some reason didnt want them to keep going there... and decided we wont go this year... as I said... we won the spot, so they choose some good riders (maybe not the best) and sent them to Europe and wait what could happen... but this isnt our strongest team at all...

Bigger shame is that not all the countries are able to ride. Czech team would be cool with all the climbing talent.
My favourite is Senni.

So Avenir starts the same day as the Vuelta?
Am interested, as ever, in this race should be interesting. If he shows the form that has had people talking him up so much, I think and hope Miguel Angel Lopez will win. But then again you only have to look what happened in Italy a couple of days ago to see that racing in Europe is clearly a step up from Colombia.
If not Lopez then will go for Vervaeke, has shown great form this year and has a strong team with likes of Teuns and Benoot. Ofc this race is always a bit of a lottery and so people like Foliforov, Norwegian duo of Odd Christian Eiking (what a name!) and Svendsen, and of course the well-supported Herklotz are all in with a great shout.

Mathieu van der Poel wins a stage in the Baltic Chain Tour (2.2). He also takes the leader's jersey. Too bad he isn't riding l'Avenir.

Can anybody tell me what kind of rider Marc Soler is? I saw Movistar got him under contract next year and he is riding Avenir. |

The directvelo ticker is probably your best source of information.
Avenir has a tradition of having worse coverage than your everyday 2.2 race (just look at their website for confirmation of that).

Australian TT-specialist Flakemore wins the prologue. Power and Vervaeke already put in strong performances with a top 10 and just outside the top 10 in 13th is Colombia's Miguel Ángel López.

Rather heavy rain late in the race made it difficult for some GC favourites (Herklotz, Svendsen, Kozhatayev, Soler) to post decent times.
Flakemore was slightly affected by it as well so it's actually more impressive.
(typical for Herklotz. Usually he is nominated as the first Stölting starter in prologues, now he goes last and immediately pays the price )
