Our Squad:
With such a startlist,we only hope not to loose too much time...as we have a race to win...
Stage 1:
Only after first climb was possible to see some riders escaping from peloton,Mayoz tryed but had no chance...
Peloton catch E2 at the descent from second climb...E1 is 2´32" ahead...59kms to go..
55kms...X.Zandio(GCE),S.Tuft(GRM) and Y.Krivtsov(ALM) attack ...peloton will catch them later..
20km mark..5 riders still in front..47" gap..
10km mark....no more escapees..
5km mark..
2,2kms...sprint starts...
1km...Herrero in front,Milán,Gasparotto,Haedo,Fischer,Bonnet....
...Gasparotto is very quick...
..and wins 1stage,we make double...

This second stage will be perfect to see who´s in form and who isn´t...
S.Tuft(GRM) has the best time:37´18"
The first to go off and be able to beat this time...
I.Konovalovas(CTT)/ +40"
C.Vande Velde(GRM) New Best Time/ 37´11"
L.Leipheimer(RSH) rides well and sets New Best Time/ 36´11"
A.Vinokourov(AST) +1´21"

It´s a sunny day but the wind blows at 71km/h,this can be very dangerous..
We had a breakaway today but they got caught,Contador falled down but his team managed to bring him back to peloton...we jump in the race for the last 5kms...L.L.Sánchez is 33" ahead..
5km mark...

2,5kms....Eibegger pushes very hard in front of peloton..
Last km for Sánchez,can he win?
..yes he can...
..behind him is a big fight for second and third place...Cobo in front,S.Sánchez behind...
..and Cobo is 2nd,S.Sánchez 3rd..

Well done with Herrero in the timetrial. Also Schleck with an amazing time.
Will be hard to improve more than 5th. |

Yes,Herrero made a great ITT.....it will not be hard to improve more then 5th....it will be hard to maintain 5th

Crazy start,attacks from all sides on the flat part of the stage...at the top of the climb,Capecchi is 4th,behind him many riders ride alone uphill...
20km mark,S.Sánchez(EUS),A.Schleck(SAX),T.Danielson(GRM),C.Sastre(CTT), G.Löwik(OLO) and A.Durán(FOT) attack...
Durán rides with Sastre,the one wich attacked are back in peloton...
L.L.Sánchez attacked and is 25" behind Durán/Sastre....
L.Leipheimer joins L.L.Sánchez,G.Löwik group..
D.Petropolli survived from breakaway and is still in front...7,6kms to go..
5,7kms..Contador attack...Herrero tryed to follow but no chance...
5km mark..
L.L.Sánchez and L.Leipheimer are in front,17"sec behind comes Sastre,Contador,Pietropolli...
Controlling my riders i forgott the front.....L.Leipheimer wins,L.L.Sánchez 2nd and Contador 3rd....Durán makes 11th.

That objective was certainly impossible (it's a pity, because in the following seasons the startlists on CyL tend to be weaker), and yet Herrero has done an excellent work, he couldn't possibly do any better. Congrats! |

LAST Stage:
Last stage is completly flat,its expected a mass sprint,again strong wind,it can bring some surprises althought..
After some attempts,11 riders finally managed to get away from peloton,Capecchi is here.....5´34" over peloton...
45kms...gap 4´39"
20km mark...gap 2´33"
7,3kms...Bertolini ,Capecchi,Hoj in front..
Bertolini has a small gap over Capecchi and Hoj...
..and Bertolini wins,very strong race from him..
Battle for 2nd place....
..Capecchi is stronger...he´s 2nd,Hoj 3rd...

500mts ahead,Benitez falls again...

3kms...K.Vandewalle(Topsport),G.Verheyen(LandBouw) and R.Valls(Footon) attack...
1,5km...sprint starts..
...and Verheyen wins,Vandewalle 2nd,Valls 3rd..
