This is looking very good for the traditional Rolland stage win. The chasers and the peloton are far back, and Hesjedal seems to be suffering from his long solo ride.

It should be clear from now..Saxo can not drop Froome on descent.
He is not Wiggins with rain
They are not trying to drop Froome.
They just don't want Sky to lead the peleton since they are bad at descending. |

Martin won't be for long.
He is ill, so as soon as they up the pace, he will surely drop. |

Well that was one way of thinning out the peloton. Live footage of the "peloton" after the descent of the Col de la Madeleine and damn was that a small group with the Maillot Jaune.
Obviously things split up a bit going downhill. Saw at least one group behind the Maillot Jaune group nearby though, so the "peloton" should grow in size again presumably. |

Pretty much everyone was in the main group as the pace has been fairly pedestrian until Saxo got on the front on this descent.

Saxo-Tinkoff still gunning it on the front of the peloton, so I presume they have a plan brewing. |

Sieberg (LTB) abandoned.
EDIT: Apparently he might have a broken collar bone. I didn't even know he crashed.
