Hmmm, I am not sure if Robin is a true fan or a glory hunter fan in cycling ( term widely used in football )
He's a huge fan. Also a close friend and supporter of Lance.
I wonder if Sky hired him to do this bit: (link instead of embedded video so that it starts on a specific time)

I don't think that is the correct Robin Williams. One is the hairy actor, the other one is singer. I think that was a fail. |

I think you're mixing Robin Williams (picture above - actor) and Robbie Williams (singer). To my knowledge they're not related... |

To be fair, Robin Williams is not really an actor. He's a legendary stand-up comedian who occasionally does movies.
Then there's Robert "Robbie" Williams, who is a very crappy musician

Amen to that.
Heh, it was good to watch his stand-up again from your link, hilarious Last time I watched him was on his Tour in England I believe on BBC. You can say with confidence that this man can make you laugh
And good to know his a cycling fan too. Even better he likes Sky
* joke with the Sky-thingy *

Schleck also misses USA cycling challenge
https://www.sporza.be/cm/sporza/wielre...en_rentree (dutch)
Disappointing news really. Like him or dislike him, he's got potential to makes races exciting. Now I know this only happens in the Tour, but it seems the whole RadioShack business has undermined his motivation to race. Other guys with injuries are back so much faster and he's just struggling. Can't be just that injury, there must be more.
Shame to see such a good cyclist do nothing at all in a season.

He just has no intrest in racing except for the Tour de France and L-B-L.

Plus has he got much interest in racing without his brother ?
On an unrelated note, Cancellara will undergo surgery to remove the metal bits that have maintained his collarbone in one piece since he fell in RVV. It's uncertain whether he'll be able to take part in the W.C. |

Cavendish will not start in the vattenfall cyclassics tomorrow. The reason is still unknow.
This is a wild guess, but I think that he will leave Sky and the vattenfall cyclassics is a WT race so Sky doesn't want that he scores some points. But maybe it's a personal decision.

article (in dutch): https://www.sporza.be/cm/sporza/wielre...cyclassics I don't really think SKY cares about WT points, they have a comfortable lead to second place on the rankings, so their World Tour spot is in no way in danger. The same speculations were made about Sep Vanmarcke when it was announced he was left out of Garmins Vuelta squad, but why would Garmin bring Le Mevel (Who almost certainly will be leaving) if they didn't want to hand over WT points to other teams? |

I don't know if it's the reason or not, but I see it as two different cases depending on who wants the rider to leave. If the team want the rider to leave and don't care about WT points, or don't have anyone else willing to go, then they'll bring a leaving rider.
On the other hand, if the team feels betrayed by a rider willing to leave, or doesn't want to "give" WT points to another team, then they won't bring him. |
