Hutarovich wins the Belarus RR, while it was Kadlec, not Rabon who won the Czech RR. Otherwise it has been a great day for OPQS. A lot of champion jerseys in their team.

Not that it matters much, but Otavio Bulgarelli is the new Brazilian champion, jersey not going abroad this year. Gonna miss the beautiful NC jersey of Fischer in the peloton though

Chuffed to bits for Stannard, job done. Dowsett did great too coming back from that injury.

Niki Terpstra won the Dutch national champs with a great solo on a very hilly stage. Gesink looked very fresh on the climbs, but Terpstra crushed the opposition.
1. Niki Terpstra OPQS
2. Lars Boom RAB
3. Bert-Jan Lindeman VAC
4. Sebastien Langeveld OGE
5. Robert Gesink RAB

Went over and watched the British RR today in Ampleforth. Stannard really is a monster, absolutely huge. Massive engine as well. Was expecting a lot more from Endura; they were rubbish. Dowsett and Swift quite impressive too. |

This did not surprise me:
Boonen
EBH
Peter Sagan
Great riders.
Boonen really worked hard in the race, he earned this win, it was so beautiful. What a strong rider, he really made something of his career!
Btw, Quickstep has 4 NCs in their team now? Nice.

Nice battle in the joint czech and slovakia champs, the favourites Velits brothers,Rabon,Kreuziger,Sagan and Stybar tried to make the whole race very difficult for the team Dukla Prague, but Kadlec jumped into the last break with Rabon and Polnicky and won by millimetres. And easy Slovakian title for Peter, he looked like he could catch the leading trio if he wants but that was unimportant.
Ant there is also bit of a brawl in the czech camp because of the Olympics. The cycling federation chose Kreuziger and Barta instead of Stybar, who is very upset to miss his big dream riding in Olympics. Problem is that Kreuziger also wanted Stybar there,as he says they would be nicely cooperating, but with Barta it is not possible, because he i riding only for himself, Roman even said Barta was sabotaging their efforts in the czech chapms, strange

T. Martin, Cataldo, P. Velits and Syl. Chavanel in TT.
That's sounds good, yesterday is the Omega Pharma-Quick Step day! |
