Mainly because most of them are below the age of 15, and if you asked, probably have no idea (other than Lance) who was in the doping era. Ask them if they know who Pantani is or Basso, hell even ask if they know Chris Boardman or Brailsford.
Even if they are older I think they just turned to cycling after Wiggins Tour win, someone stated Froome was already "legend" before his illness on the other hand Armstrong was a nobody before he had cancer.
Edit: I just read the comments it's to silly to discuss with them

I used to be one of those people. Since l found this forum though, its all doom and gloom. |

Well to be fair, I think all sports are as dirty as it can get so cycling might just be the cleanest sport, if one pro is clean |

SKY is the definition of the 1990's doping circus.
In 2023 when they get caught i'll hate to say: i told you so!

I'm in Kenya right now, on a project on Safaricom. I guess I'll drink lots of tap water. With luck I'll get some parasites and I'll be home in time to tackle the Vuelta. |

(Although its perhaps not the best thing to joke about such things as many die from these issues...) |

Depends on the parasite.
Contador has one named Noval. It's not helping

And Hernandez
Why those two are even on Saxobank is insane, they havent proven anything since they left Astana. |

To be fair. Noval has been useless for 8 years now. He sucked way before he made his way to Saxo Bank. |

He started sucking when he found out he could go to the Tour by friendship. I would try to find the Noval-pre friendship that Isso posted, but, meh. |

Its Facebook. People on there are idiots. I'm basically newish to road cycling, I started following from 11 Vuelta as I saw a paper article with Wiggins doing well in it and knew him as I often watched track when it was the tv.
I knew about a Lance though. Thats not even a cycling story, it just a story. I also knew he was doped for like ever because the whole, my body was ravaged by Cancer and I lost a ball but came back and won 7 tours never really seemed believable because cancer hurts you pretty much forever and being able to make normal levels of testosterone is quite important in sport. And back then.. I was a kid.
Age, nationality, newness to the sport doesn't come into it. They are just Facebook morons whom have no ability to use their brains. |

Maybe chess is cleaner? No EPO there
Actually I think cycling may be one of the cleaner sports, I don't think there's any other sport where sportsmen are so much controlled - look. e.g. at football, anti-doping controls are quite rare and mostly only random ones, plus there were almost no positives of good players in football, while certainly they are also doping. |
