What's the betting they were actually robbed by a load of prostitutrs at a brothel
I wonder what your reaction would have been if someone would have said that about some British athletes.
Are you crazy Alex? British athletes dont have time for brothels, they just train and train, harder than others
I read somewhere that Lochte said his watch was stolen when he was robbed, but was then seen with it on his wrist after the supposed "robbing" when he entered the athletes village by a camera.
So turns out they weren't held up at gun point. They were confronted by security guards after vandalising a toilet. Glad that's all sorted
In other amusing Olympic news. Nikitin, the Russian boxer who controversially beat Irish boxer Conlan, has pulled out of the Olympics due to the facial injuries he sustained against Conlan. You actually couldn't make it up

They were held up at gun point though. ON the tape you can see how when they get out of the taxi one of them has both his hands up. Clearly cut so you don't see the gun.

Ive no doubt the was a gun, but You can't call security guards being held up. Otherwise the police carry out more armed offences than anyone else in the country.

It's Brasil. Wouldn't surprise me so
Yohann Diniz just did a fantastic race in the 50km walk. Would have won, then suddenly, he had a major bowl problem and, literally, shat himself, and then completelly fell to the ground 3 or 4 time. He still carried on, and finished 8th. He probably would've won had he not had all this problems. He led from the start until he collapsed until the first time.
Even if it was - the Olympic record was, however, and it's not rare occurrence - it wouldn't have been as surprising as the 10000m one. Almaz Ayana has only been 1 second off the world record this year.
