Unfortunately I really don't know  But if already 2 seasons have gone by and this is the first time it happens, I'd guess that it'll be rare cases 
Concerning the DB: I don't think PCMDaily has released a real-name only real name DB  But even if you didn't start your career with Daily's DB, it's worth to install it because several changes (mostly graphical) will be made to the game (for example, cyclist pictures, race logos, real sponsor boards, etc)

I'm in the second year of my career playing ToC. As already reported somewhere, the first stage is not playable and crashes, but you'll be able to sim the stage.
The 7th stage is not playable as well. Clicking on 3D race kicks you to the https://www.focus-home.com/. Simulating the stage is again possible. Weirdest bug I've ever seen.
Can anyone confirm this |

Sometimes you click something on the game and you're redirected to Focus/Cyanide websites. In these cases usually trying again or closing the game and opening it again works

The breakaway bug is getting annoying now. In RVV as in Gent-Wevelgem the early breakaway wins the race. Hopefully they will patch it soon. |

Just got a rider injured in training despite it being at the end of the season whilst the riders are on holidays and are not training |

2 things
1.
bug: cars driving backwards mainly on last stage of tour de France. this causes riders to go to the back behind the car or swerve around it.
2.
issue: water is needed every ten seconds in mountain stages.
these things are really annoying me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I've had a few issues where clicking to go to the next day it does nothing and I have to back out to the main menu and reload the save to continue.
