Klier retired, so it's only 29 riders anyway.
Dropping dead weight: Millar, VDV, Dekker?

Klier ( already left )
Maaskant
Rosseler
Fairly
Koldo Fernandez
Millar
Stetina
Wegmann
I could see all those leaving. Will they all? Maybe, but I expect few of them leave for sure.

It would be good for the Schlecks if they realise Andy is better and Frank so use Frank as a super-domestique instead of going for a 1-2 punch al the time.
Would be intresting which teams would want them or can afford them. I can only think of one.
Frank wants to ride bikes while Andy does not. I would say that Frank is a better rider 90% of the time, even if he has less natural talent.

What I meant is to win the Tour de France. And that's what they really want (see Frank's Giro last year).
Frank will never win le Tour. He is way worse as Andy on the TT bike and never showed that he is a better climber as Andy. Andy on the other hand with the right tactis and preparation can win the tour one day.

Saw some new rumours from Beppe Conti on CN forum:
- Cav wants Modolo and Coledan to join his leadout train for 2014
- Malori (Lampre) and Visconti (Movistar) will renew their contracts
- Gatto is on his way to IAM or OPQS
- Marcato is wanted by both Lampre and Cannondale
And finally, the biggest one:
Sagan will stay with Cannondale until the end of 2014, then leave for BMC and a 4 million per year deal.

What about Renshaw? I thought that he would sign with OPQS.
I don't think Modolo will ride as leadout man.

Modolo suits as a leadout quite well actually, he has very good acceleration, that lasts for 50 metres and then he usually fades a little. OPQS is going pay him very likely more than double.
Modolo would be good alternative to Renshaw basically.

How do they possibly know the specifics of a Sagan contract that wouldn't even happen for a year an a half?

I think BMC offered him that deal already for next year, but he wants to fulfill his contract with Cannondale.
Seems like a very logical move from BMC. Evans and Hushovd will likely be gone, and Gilbert's contract ends after 2014. They'll have tons of money to throw on Sagan.

The situation is this. Cannondale will be changing it's team nationality from Italy to American I believe.
There's a clause in Sagan's contract according to Conti after this happens, Sagan could leave the team.
However he will honour his contract, which is by far the right thing to do, so kudos to him.

We don't need another American team. It should stay Italian.

Cannondale is American. Hence the change.
It won't mean Cannondale will become international team, abandoning it's ''Italian roots''

Will Amadio stay on as team manager? Otherwise I don't see them losing their 'Italian roots'

Why should they stay Italian? America is where the sponsorship dollars are.

More and more American teams with not enough American riders and next to no American fan support.

It's just where the license and/or sponsor are from, not the team. Bardiani isn't really irish. BMC isn't really american. etc.

What isso said. It isn't a reflection of where your team is from but it is important for attracting sponsors and there are often tax reasons (Bardiani in Ireland for instance). Sponsors are more likely to sponsor a team with their nation's license.
