Okay, my bad anyway, i overlooked the word some in your post xD but remember the Tour in 2009, the 2 etappes xD a lot of teams don't quite like it cycling without it xD
I simply have no words. That soab should be arrested for a long time. More than 100 people were participating in the ride. 30~40 riders were hit, 9 taken to the hospital. Fortunately no one got serious injuries. Several bikes got damaged too.
In the middle of the group there were children, women, old people.. sad but true. The driver should testify tomorrow. Sadly, this is Brazil.
sure, blame the drugs...
I know a lot of ppl who did drugs and never even think about doing such things
i never did harddrugs, so i can't really tell for myself, was addicted to softdrugs tho, but still no stuff like that ever popped my mind..
and a ot of murders and stuff also don't evolve drugs
I'm not saying drugs are good for ya, or shit like that.. i just find it very judgemental to blame the drugs..
That's like saying MC Donalds made me fat
Even if the driver took drugs, he took it, so he is still responsable for his own actions

I seen a lot of wierd shit, people do on drugs *the great benefit of being dutch * Even driving into a group of people, but that was a depressed guy, who wanted to attack our Queen.
Well, the guy did appear to the police. According to the officer he talked to, "he [the driver] told his version. A quite fanciful version, that doesn't add much". The driver had already talked to the riders before doing the sh*t he did. Apparently he got mad for not being able to pass and simply did that.
According to the officer, the driver won't be arrested for now, but can go to court for homicide attempt. His lawyer says the driver acted in self defense.
For the last sentence: WHAT - THE - FU*K. Of course both driver and lawyer just said bullsht. Unfortunately it will still take some time before anything is really done.

Last week, I was cycling with my girlfriend. She got a little bit tired at a hill, so she told me to wait for her at the top. When I arrived I looked back and I couldn't see her, so I came back. Some way down the hill, she was by the sidewalk, her bike was kind of damaged and a male driver was yelling at her and he even pushed her. I went down and without thinking I beated up the guy. The jerk hadn't stopped at an stop light so my girlfriend hit his car. It was his fault, not hers. A few minutes later a police arrived. He told him he acted in self defense because my girlfriend smashed his car! And I got arrested 24 hours for personal injuries (note: I'm not that violent; I acted without reflecting when the guy pushed my gf and he wasn't that injuried, just a broken lip). Moreover, nothing happened to the guy because nobody could prove the light was red.
