Two times a bit of bad luck, but three is a charm. All the best, hopefully you can make it to World Road Champs. Gonna cheer for you then.

Anyone else who uses a Garmin making use of the Virtual Partner Uploader tool via Strava/Race Shape?
I'm finding it really useful to push myself to beat my previous best on the climbs. The only slight niggle is my Garmin seems to consistently put me 10 seconds behind the virtual partner at the start of the segment, although I guess this is a bit more motivation during the interval.
For anyone interested, who hasn't stumbled across it here's the link to check it out https://strava-tools.raceshape.com/vpu/

Jeez mate. Massive props and congratz. I tracked your progress a bit on instagram. But one thing is for sure: For the next Everest you need a bigger mountain. I mean, I think I'd go insane after climbing it for the 5th time.

Congrats on that incredible achievement. I'd be ecstatic if I could manage half of your self-commitment.

Cheers guys it was a absolute blast, everything about the ride fell into place perfectly and was surprisingly easy outside the the last ascent but by that time there was no way I wasn't completing this challenge.
@SSJ2Luigi I can assure you that the 9000 is correct if it wasn't for the fact that I spent the last hour descending into the dark as my front light gave up I would have gone for 10,000

That's fucking ridiculous. Most I've done is like 3000m in like 65km of MTB. Doing 9000m and 365km is outrageous. You have earned a massive amount of respect from me (not that it's actually worth much ). Well done Strydz, it's really amazing!

I thought that the over 9000 line was already overused
so I did something different
edit: that ride is still amazing ride, I can't believe it

Epic stuff Strydz, well done! Must have been some challenging logistics to get enough calories in that day - did you get to take a quick nap at least?! |
