Really fucking gutted for Landa, I hope he will be the next big climber for Spain. They dont have that much more to offer. But with this performance, Nairo should be the favourite for the Vuelta.

Quintana looks ready. He did a very calm ride on the mountain stage in Vuelta a Burgos.
Tactically, I feel like Nairo is one of the best in the peloton.. he never goes over his limits and know what he is able to do and has something in the tank for the last kilometres. I dont think I have never seen Nairo accelerating 4-5 times in a row like that, he usually goes with a high constant pace.

Agreed!
I thaught, that he was having a bad day, but he was just playing tactical against Moreno.
On top of that, he seems to be one of the most committed training-wise riders in the peloton. When he shows up, he is always in shape after long breaks - Tour de France 2013, San Luis 2014 and now Burgos 2014. Movistar shouldnt be to worried to let him go to Columbia which one of the other team should...... - speaking of Betancur, should be interesting to see how he places today.
The king is back! Great ride and duel between Moreno and Quintana. Lovely to see Quintana is where he's supposed to be right before the Vuelta. Feel sorry for Landa, but that's how it is sometimes. So close and yet so far.

Lindeman wins as the last survivor of a breakaway. It was a tough stage with lots of climbing. And it seems Dan Martin is finally getting in shape again. Edited by Wilier on 15-08-2014 16:56
I could not be happier. I SO WISH there was some stupid video of it. But either way it is nice to see him in shape, especially when Uran isn't even in the results yet!
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy
Oh almost forgot it, well done by Matti today, 4th on the stage in Eneco Tour. Not bad. He's showing something in a WT for the first time in a long time. Go Matti!
