Typing with mobile is not easy(for me), especially when the wifi sucks.

Looked like a good stage though, only watched the last 4 kms Sad

You didn't miss much. The final 12-13km were interesting, the rest was dull as hell.

One of two things.

1) Tinkoff hit him in the face because he lost a second to Aru

or

2) He was hit by the champagne cork that Tiralongo shot into the air.

Interesting that Amador and Visconti still is able to hold on. I know that the mountains so far havent been big, but one of them have a chance of getting a top-10 I feel. Maybe Amador more so than Visconti.

Same can be said about Izaguirre, after the hard stage in Liguria I thought he would focus on stage wins, but he seems to be going fine and will surely pass some rider in the ITT. He should try to catch a break in the next week and get higher up tho, unless he somehow shows he is one of the 5-8 best on Mortiroli, Finestre etc. which I doubt.

Tiralongo the oldest ever stage winner in the Giro.

Nice to see Tiralongo as stage winner Wink

Aru with Astana (seems like at least they take Giro seriously..and Tinkoff wasted at first week he's team) has been scary strong .

Contador is just waring 3rd week and one specific stage to go..so far he will just follow and will ignore screaming Tinkoff

He is having a Giro to remember Smile

Paolo Tiralongo is the oldest stage winner ever at il Gir.

He's 188 days older then Ale Jet was when he won the opening stage in 2011.

Just wondered, after 8 stages, to be 2 hours and 38 minutes behind the leader must be some sort of record at least the last 10 years?

I think you're right. It's a quite astonishing considering the fact that the Lantern Rouge usually ends up about 4 hours behind the leader in the end and we've just finished week one.

Skip ahead to Saturday (or at least Berico), por favor!

The big questions: How much time can Uran get back and how far between eachother are Aru, Porte and Contador? I say no more than 1.30 between Aru and Porte, I think Porte has lost a step due to his weightloss and Italians (also climbers) have always done relatively well in ITTs in the Giro. I dont know what to make of Contador tho, its kinda bold, but I think Aru will do better than him.
