Great battle for the overall going right now.
McCarthy has been solid but not quite aggressive enough to really assert himself in the hilly stages

I wonder what happened with Stancu for this race, he is even being outclimbed by my 71 climber Dzhus, who is now in top 30 and Stancu just outside, while he could be top15-20 material.
Anyway, great thrilling GC battle coming soon in last two stages and really anyone can take it, but i cheer for Lecuisinier.
Now the TT, so i expect something from Zmorka, even when it should be better suited to GC men. Top10 would be nice.

Entertaining report from the mountains thanks. Very pleased to see Quintana get in a break and doing a good job in sniffing out the right break. Hoelgaard was too strong for him, but he saw off the other early breakaways to make a good stab at the KoM jersey and hold on to a solid placing on the stage. Nice show from our only lvl 1 rider of the 2014 season.

Good comeback from Shikai! it's quite a shame if you think of what could've been.
Meintjes solid once again, consolidating his 7th place. He's now 1'45" behind Arndt and will have to put up a big ride tomorrow to pass him.
Thanks for some great reports Tsmoha!

Shit performance by Olivier here. Was supposed to lose time, but not this much. Bad daily form I guess.
That said, he had a great form yesterday, so can`t really complain.
Really hope he can gap Lutsenko once again tomorrow. Then a podium seems realistic. But all winning chacnes are probably gone here. Lecuisinier vs. Kirsch will be exciting though. |

Yes a tight Avenir is always nice - not quite feeling it really if I am honest though. I mean Kirsch and Lecuiseniur only anoraks are going to spot them in there races this season. More like RL Avenir though of course
Nice to see a good TT for De Bie he could have done a bit better here really, he has done nicely in the PT though this year. More of a classics/ hilly stage race man than a GT slogger.

Still all to play for here. Can imagine a situation on stage 10 where Lecuisinier and Kirsch mark eachother and Olivier, gets away up the road, but you'd have to fancy Lecuisinier to win from here. |

Nice to see a Chinese rider winning a stage even though it would've been nicer to have Shikai achieve a nice GC result. |

That was a wonderful TT report! Pretty decent from Holst Enger, which is promising considering I hope he'll be worth something thinking of prologues in the future.
But this is all about the GC battle now. Not surprised to see Lecuisinier lead, but it's far from over, and especially Kirsch must fancy his chances, he did after all put Lecuisinier under quite some pressure on the previous mountain stage. |

Amazing result. Thanks for that report btw. You made that one brilliant to read - atleast I was scrolling down veeeery slowly not to read more than one line at the time.
Lecuisinier in 2nd, and finally a result I can put into the headquarter, with both 4th and 5th places before this stage. Taking yellow is huge, and while I still think Kirsch will take it overall, I feel rather comfortable in taking a 2nd place in the GC now, which is very nice. Also Vasyliv climbed a spot back, so his shot at the top 10 is also pretty decent.

TT turned out to be little drawback for us, but keeping the 10th seemes a realistic task... though massive gaps in the final are likable. Tense!

Very nice report, great that Shikai has at least salvaged a stage win from the race. Also glad the prologue was included this year, as it gave a chance to the TT specialists to get a win - which they'd have missed out on today.
Lecuisinier in the lead as expected, It's going to be tough for Kirsch now. A 1 mountain stat advantage won't be much comfort versus worse acceleration, recovery, home rider bonus and race lead bonus. He won't have much chance of beating Lecuisinier when fully maxed, so he really needs a great final stage in order to grasp this opportunity.

YESSSS!!!!!! What redemption! That was an amazingly tense report, and its great to see Shikai take a victory.
On the other hand it still makes me think "what if" as I would have liked to see him really challenge for the GC.

Beautifully reported TT stage report mate , maintaining the tension throughout. Good that the GC still close for the showdown on Ventoux for the finale!

Podium.
Great performance by Olivier even though Shikai`s crash surely helped him to be ahead of him in the GC.
Kirsch beating Lecusinier was an interesting fight. Really good season Kirsch is having with some nice wins already.
Is Kirsch now eligible for Avenir next year as well?
Otherwise it`s still an interesting fight with more or less the same and Olivier surely trying for yet another podium then. Big things to come for our climber.
Thanks for those nice reports tsmoha. Really couldn`t wait for the last stage to be posted. |

Probably his other stats are way too weak at this point.
Anyway, nice to finally see that Romanian jersey
Thanks for the reports, tsmoha!

Great end to the race for the BoI lads, and a great GC result in the end as well. That was exactly the sort of attack I had in mind when I said that was the plan earlier on.
