Unfortunate. Always riding aggressively, they will be missed! |

Damn. Two years ago I was still angry at Euskaltel for 'stealing' the Dutch Orange which Rabo also used and now we have no orange left! |

Lets all cheer for CCC to promote to WT!
But yeah, it's a sad day, its always bad news when a team can't find a new sponsor...

It was bound to happen, they were close to disappear many times lately, too many near misses. I guess it's the unavoidable consequence of closing themselves to such small market as the Basque in this day and age.

True kumazan. And I think the last drop was the signing of rider's because of points, wich was total failure. |

So the UCI has officially said that there are no cases of doping from the Tour de France and there is this interesting graphic showing the amount of testing done relative to last year's:

Sad for Euskaltel, a bit of cycling history is gone now. But it's still better than selling the team to Tinkov imo.
And the UCI means that there are no pisitives yet, just wait 'till 2017 or so.
EDIT. Meant Positives offcourse. Pisitives sounds like riders who got cought on doping due to an urine-test.

Definitely but it is still a rare thing to come out of the TDF without a positive test straight away.

It's hard to fathom Euskatel being gone.
And most of thos tests were barely done. Not a surprise.

Swiss Cycling withdraws its legally contested nomination of Pat McQuaid for UCI president (election taking place during WC's in Firenze) in the face of:
-the risk of high legal fees resulting from the lawsuit revolving around the nomination
-the backdated 'nomination' Pat has from Morroco and Thailand, which are far from being accepted as legit, since they require a change in UCI constitution, which was proposed by Malaysia but not properly passed through the agenda of the Management Committee.
Also, Western European federations seem to be organising some sort of lawsuit to force Pat out of the Election.
Finally, Management Committee member, head of the Russian federation and Katusha sponsor Igor Makarov appears to have a dossier full of dirt on McQuaid which he is holding on to, probably to release it at the most opportunistic time somewhere right before the WC's. |

Katusha appartenly have the guy who used to ride around with wonderboy's bloodbags in his car working for them. It was him who wrote the appeal to UCI when they didn't get the WT license... UCI didn't even start reading it when they saw his name but well TAS...

Not sure if you can read French, but there's little ambiguity there :

200 rider's rounded right? Cause it only says 198 rider's there.
Anyway, Froome & Porte, we should start making predictions from when it's going to happen. |

Has anyone else read the Bruyneel interview on CN? I quite enjoyed it.
Shows just how bad the situation was at RadioTard last year. Trying to manage the Schlecks and Luigi sounds just as frustrating as you'd guess.
