I don't even remember seeing Cavendish getting dropped in a TTT. |

I'd say Rodriguez is thewinner of the podium contenders today. The best timetrialist in his team is Kristoff. And they are riding on canyon bikes. He was probably expecting to lose a lot more.
Lampre did very well also!
What have Canyon bikes to do with their performance?
I've genuinely no idea what Canyon TT bikes are like, especially compared to the other ones, but a TT bike is about one third of the total bike + rider frontal surface (S.Cx), which directly influences the performance. |

So biggest GC losers today? (my loose, vague interpretation):
Fuglsang +56
Rolland +1:13
Navarro +1:20
Froome and Contador happiest of all with solid times and no yellow to defend.
Probably Valverde would've taken that before today too at just +16.

Not really top quality compared to Specialized, Pinarello or Cervelo
Canyon bike aren't worse than those, the latest TT bike is as good as the non UCI-legal Cervelo P5 version. They just invest less money on marketing "propaganda" (which seems to work well, though).

So, saturday this guy will be in yellow
And I reckon that Thursday we will see Impey in yellow?
Gerrans at 32 stage classifications (not including TTT) total with Impey at 41 total.
That would be incredible. I'm a bit scared that he will be asked to sit up tomorrow to allow the Aussie team to keep an Aussie in yellow, but if not then the sprint stages should put him there.
Second ever South African Stage win in the tour today.

Had a feeling all afternoon that Orica were going to take this. A bit disappointed in Movistar though.
Shame Kwiatek couldn't get yellow, but I certainly prefer Gerrans over a Skybot.

Contador did not know that his teammate Benjamin Noval collided with a photographer during the first kilometres of the team time trial. "I didn't hear about it until the finish because my radio didn't work," Contador said. "Most important is that Noval will be recovered because he is a very important rider for the team."

Second ever South African Stage win in the tour today. OGE won't do that. Impey will be leading out Gossy every day. Will probably move into yellow at least for one day. |

Have FDJ changed their strip to all blue, or is this change just for the TdF? |

Hope so because their blue strip looks much nicer than the boring tops they had before. |

Only allowed 1 change per season pretty sure, so yeah.
Also about the jersey, it is pretty good but its one of those ones for me like Euskaltel that should always be white with white pants or blue pants imo. All blue just seems weird.

Yeah, it was the same for 15 years. It's like Lotto would bewithout Red, Cofidis without red, or Rabobank without Orange

I'd say the all blue strip was based on the French football team strip. |

I agree.
Although doesn't Vaconsoliel have like a secondary light blue jersey?
