Useless as most online players tend to be ultra whatever and set a high pace on any flat stage all the time..

Yesterday I played Paris - Tours and Paris - Brussels.
Both are actual sprinter stages. But first was a nice attempt but someone having Flecha attacking with 5km to go at that small climb. 300m in front the line he was caught.
In Paris Brussels, someone attacked with Voigt with 8km to go. Others were also attacking forcing the sprinters to attack as well to form a smaller 20 rider group. But no one was able to catch Voigt, so he won.
So those high Flat riders are very high usage in those long flat stages. |

Yes they are useful but I had so far just flat stages with guys that set the pace almost all the time very high.
Yesterday a stage 106km pancake flat (I guess a Qatar stage):
2 guys setting the pace ultra high so almost all the AI riders dropped of the peloton even Greipel, Degenkolb etc.
And I still managed to lose with Greipel against someone using Kreder I guess.
Hunter was blown out so Van Hummel had to set the pace from 4km to go instead of 3km like it should have been. Had to sprint with Greipel too early as Van Hummel was also dead around 2.5km-2km to go and lead with Greipel all the sprint. But just at the finish line he was also dead and Kreder pipped the win just at the finish line. -.-
I guess I can't do anything good at PCM online XD
TTT bad
TT okish
Sprints bad
Hill stages bad
Mountain stages bad
Cobbles horrible I guess (but just had 73COB riders at most against people using Boonen, Cancellara but got yesterday Burghardt so at least 76-77COB)

In those flat stages they are justgreat leadout men.
Their strength in flat stages and in best case a few difficulties like in Paris Tours is the higher stamina they often have.
So in a 200+km race many sprinters struggle towards the end, when the pace is very high. So Flecha, Boonen can nicely attack then.

Ye,really, roturn is right. I attacked with Klier (i was 2nd level then) on Champs Elysee and every single player (AI) was chasing and couldn't do anything. And then ,OPQS set their train robots and caught me 500-600 meters before finish line...
He has pretty good FL and FTR for 2nd level.

today i played 2 ranked armada, won both with breakaways
i was host on both races having level extreme
had pozatto in both,so yeah i had biggest chance to win both
first race was flat but i put 2 sprinters(pozato, vaitkus) and 2 good domestics(voight, italian with FL 75)
6 or 7 humans
a group of 9 breakaways with an human opponent
i lost 4 guys from my team trying to catch that breakaway.the other 4 humans didn't help me on relaying
got ennoyed and i attack with half that had stamina(pozato,vaitkus,voight...)
i took a 45 sec advantage on last 20km because that guys didn't had like me all 75 FL stat,i catched the breakaway in last 12-10 km and kept advantage of 40 sec
i took 1st and 2nd place with pozato and vaitkus.voight finished with peleton
so i took 1st individual and 1st team
26 seconds i won ahead peleton with sprinters,52 seconds ahead 2nd team
second race was a hilly race with final having small climbs
again 6-7 humans
some attacked,i saw and i attacked with 2 riders and noobs let my nocentini 77 HILL in breakaway
had 9 min breakaway.a human had menchov, kruswijck, ulissi.put all his team to relay fast
breakaway wasn't catched
i go fast with my breakaway rider, nocentini,in last 15 km
in last 20km,in peleton had pozato, wegman and casar(or kirienka).all 3 were protected by lame bronz teammates and i put effort bar high and wasn't enough
i won with nocentini.other breakaway riders finished in front of peleton
took again 1st individual and 1st team
on extreme level,AI breakaway riders go fast trying to not be caught
from what i seen, first human in loading is hosting
new patch?is maintenance now

doesn't matter who host
matters what level has that host on AI
i was in other races in breakaways and AI breakaway was too easy to catch

The only thing extreme difficulty has impact on is the stats of riders. It doesn't change AI behavior like that. |

I don't think the game will check on your preferences for the AI. Those will be set by the server and are the same for all races. |

Not sure if it`s a real patch as Armada can be fixed directly without a patch as well. But here some info:
freire (Cyanide) wrote:
The server is temporarly closed for an update:
* Fixed: Crash when on game menu page without player activity.
* Fixed: "Server Side processing error" on unusable rosters.
* Players who bought a "Team" pack between 20/06/2013 and 13h15 (CET) on 24/06/2013 did not receive a bonus card.
On connection they receive the missing card. This is a rider card belonging to the purchased team pack and is guaranteed as non-duplicate (except if the team was completed in between times).
Should this be the case, the pack is reimbursed.
There are as many cards as there are purchased packs.
Edit: That said, it`s already online again.

Already bought 3 extra teamslots with the free cyans I recieved from cyanide
If you didn't buy a team pack between 20/06/2013 and 13h15 (CET) on 24/06/2013 I wouldn't get my hopes up though.
The free cyans where only for those who where affected by that 'zero bonus rider bug' am I afraid.

Yeah I don't see the point in buying team packs before I have almost full teams. Because you can get a bronze card... |

The more teams you have the more options you have and less fatgue your best riders are under.

Yes, true. Only wish I realized that a bit earlier
I actaully thought buying two Saxo-packs would give me a good chance of Getting conta That's how I wasted all my PCM12-linked money in the beginning. Ironically I got Conta in my next(and first) gold pack..

I tried that and didn't get him, then I opened a Movistar team pact and got Conta lol
I have reached 50& in my collection now, just been buying bronze and silver packs, starting to get alot of duplicates now though.
